you are either genuinely illiterate or purposely grifting. tma and tme is not "the new binary" and you would know that if you didn't waste everyone's time peddling lies. tme includes cis men and women and tma includes transfems and nonbinary people alongside trans women. again how is this "reinventing the binary" when cis men and women do not exist in the same categories in the sexgender binary? As for your point about how someone can be mistaken for being a trans woman but still be tme look at the cis women who get transvestigated. end of the day they can go "I am not a trans woman" and more people will recognize the violence against them as illegitimate than would keep going. tma ppl are not afforded this on account of not being able to say "Actually I'm not a trans woman/transfem/nonbinary" it's actually so incredibly intuitive the only way you could be confused if you are deliberately trying to muddy the water and discredit transfeminism. stop this grifter bullshit and stop grooming transmascs into gamergaters.

given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that

I have four kids. Iāve had one or another of them need some kind of surgical procedure that requires anesthesia four or five times over the past 15 years.
This Tumblr post is the first time someone has explained to me *why* I couldnāt feed them before those instances.
Iām not stupid. I understood that just fine. Hell, my kids would have understood that just fine. But no one bothered to tell us.
i did know this before having kids (i have six). we have a kid that's needed multiple procedures requiring anesthesia. and every single time, i am asked multiple times if i'm sure he was not given any food or water after a certain point.
every single time i have had to say, "i understand that if he had food or water, he could aspirate it into his lungs under anesthesia. i am not lying to you." THEN someone would make a little note and i would stop being repeatedly asked.
not a single time was that risk explained to me. the only reason it came up was because i already knew. i still don't understand why it isn't standard pre-op counseling or pre-op check information, when me as a parent acknowledging the actual risk also put THE MEDICAL STAFF at ease because i conveyed that i had informed understanding as reason to not lie about giving my kid food.
"maybe some people will get nervous and refuse surgery" okay so they need more counseling about risks and anxiety, not less information in a way that actually does endanger their child or themselves!

Seattle Central College is trying to close the only public wood tech college in the state of Washington, which is one of if not the only avenue into woodworking trades for people who usually aren't hired to be trained on-site: queer, trans, neurodivergent and disabled students, and women. Which is exactly what most of the students in the program are.
The reason according to the college is that they want to sell the building to fix the school's budget; they also claim the wood tech college has a severe budget deficit, but they've failed to follow through on any promises to try to fix that (including hiring a permanent dean, so the school has someone to advocate for them... which they haven't had in at least a decade).
The reason according to some students & staff is that Seattle College's VP has a grudge against the lead carpentry instructor & has been trying to get her program shut down for years to get rid of her.
Students are trying to make some noise about it, in hopes that the college backs down and they can work towards the long-term fixes Seattle College keeps failing to follow through on.
The future is unclear for one of the Puget Sound regionās only comprehensive training programs for carpentry and boatbuilding.

There are less than 200 students at the wood tech college, so makes a really big impact when anyone else signs and shows that people outside of just students really care about this.

I was a student here and it led me to a place in my local union. It would be really cool if it didn't get shut down especially due to interpersonal drama.
