then immediatly goes to help her because apparently nobody in the crowd cares
picks up lenore and THROWS HER LIKE A BABY CAT?? HELLO??
and then stands over her + keeps a hand on her (to ground her?) through lenore's entire yap session
then as soon as lenore is gone/the situation is safer (from his pov) he checks on her
and he can tell something wrong (even though he doesnt unserstand why annabel is so effected) and attempts to (poorly) comfort her
NEVER BEFORE have i wanted to see his thoughts so bad in my LIFE. because he looks side to side, as if someone might be looking. obviously annabel did the same for him ("dont let them see you shaken") but he doesnt say anything like that either, so im temped to believe he was just nervous/confused/avoiding eye contact?? either way, i worry that annabel seeing him looking away from her reminds her of her dad :(
anyways in conclusion HE CARES YOUR HONOR!! HE WAS ALWAYS HER FRIEND!!!

LONG ASS POST BELOW CUT
Okay, first off. He's crossing his arm here, which is only something he does when he's upset (TRUST ME I CHECKED) and has only happened 4 times previously. Usually, his arms are behind his back (very poised, professional, etc) BUT NOT TODAY
Also, everyone in this panel has matching expressions of confusion, potentially troubled/disgusted?? mostly confused or cringing
Again, very closed off body language, shoulders almost hunched, and so on
And then as soon as Poppet starts explaining, he gets thinking, his expression more concerned/brow furrowed, maybe because he was a doctor before hes trying to think of ways he could help/what he should research, gathering more data and so on
When Ada starts talkign about how much it hurts, this is his reaction. Brow furrowed, tight frown, hand raised like hes thinking (conerned?? possibly worried and thinking about how he could help??)
Then here he pretty much confirms he's been trying to come up with ways to help her since she started talking, now very visibly worried and concerned. LOOK AT HIM. LOOK AT HOW HES LOOKING AT HER. GGGGGRRRRAHHH
Skipping ahead a few panels because I didn't have anythign to say about them, this one is very very interesting to me. When Poppet suggests just letting her die, both Prospero AND Annabel look angry, maybe almost offended in Prospero's case.
Including these because the "communicating with just a look" is so fucking funny, and awesome. they're so sister coded bro.
THE NOSE RETURNS!! Anyways, that's not the point, at first I thought they were acting like they were only keeping Ada around because they're lying to themselves, but honestly I think they might've been lying more to Poppet? Like obviously they are so bad and processing their feelings and that they might actually care about Ada, but Poppet also just agreed to try and save Ada because they're her star student. If poppet thinks they're going soft, that could be seen as a weakness/reason not to save her. But acting like it's part of the plan? Surely that's a good enough reason for Poppet to care
And then he's back to being briefly worried/concerned, then vaugly annoyed
And then they look back at Ada, not completely aware of her impending doom (but I think we all know she knows) and Prospero is really back in it. Worried, sad, maybe even guilty that he can't do much if anythign to help or save her (just like all the people who died under his care when he was alive COUGH COUGH)
This one has been on my mind the most. Prospero is a rather blunt person, so I can't really think of any reason he would be lookign annoyed like this unless he was judging Annabel for lying to Ada like that?? which is also the reason it's probably a good thing he wasn't involved in this conversation, I just can't see him lying to her about the severity of the situation. he would tell it to her straight and it really wouldn't help anything
And then he's back to annoyed when his opp and his opp's ass kisser because they cant go five seconds without making his life worse lol
Quite frankly, I was expecting him and Ada to have a conversation after the CLIFFHANGER they left us the last time he was in an episode, but they are so ass at communicating I'm not really surprised. I will wait patiently for the day Prospero and Ada work out their issues and until then I'll grab at straws to prove he gives a fuck about her. He gives so many cares. THEY COULD BE FRIENDS, WITH TIME!!!!! I SWEAR!!!!!
