The Legend that is Emma Thompson*
From Nanny McPhee to Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast and now to The Legend of Barney Thomson- Emma Thompson is not a newbie when it comes to top to toe transformation Make-up & Prosthetics. Prosthetics Make-up Designer Mark Coulier and his team, including Duncan Jarman (Revenant) are also not newbies when it comes to incredible aging Make-ups, Coulier created one of my favourite old age Make-ups for The Grand Budapest Hotel (my current screensaver) and this old age is simply stunning, each line and crease perfectly placed to make Thompson look as if she has a 50 a day habit and that years of smoking damage has ravage her skin. The dried out lipstick is on point and the hands with rubbed out orange nail varnish are a homage to Dot Cotton herself.
A timeless look for an aging Make-up. As with all these make-ups, I cant wait to see them move on screen.
