He tries to impress you by doing random feats of strength or skill, like lifting something heavy or flipping a coin way too high. Inevitably, the coin smacks him in the face or he drops whatever he’s holding. “Totally fine, no big deal. Bet you’ve never seen that move before.”
When he tries to flirt, it’s both adorable and a disaster. “Hey, did it hurt when you fell from the… uh, wait, how does that go again?” He fumbles the line so badly that he ends up laughing at himself, which somehow makes him even more endearing.
After talking to you, he’ll replay the conversation in his head a thousand times. “Why did I say ‘cool beans’? Who even says that anymore?!” March catches him mumbling to himself and absolutely roasts him about it.
Caelus tries to bring you little gifts, but they’re always slightly offbeat. He once found a rare rock during his travels and handed it to you with a goofy grin. “For your collection. You have a rock collection, right? Everyone needs a cool rock.”
He’ll glance at you when he thinks you’re not looking, only to get caught mid-stare. Flustered, he’ll blurt out something random like, “Oh, I was just… admiring the way you, uh, hold that cup of coffee. Very professional.”
When you’re in danger, all his usual awkwardness disappears. He’s hyper-focused, always stepping in front of you and making sure you’re safe. Afterwards, he’ll try to downplay it. “What, me? Worry? Nah, I’m just built different.” (Caelus, baby, no... 🧍♀️😭)
After doing something "cool" around you, he’ll discreetly glance at you for a reaction. If you smile or laugh, he’ll be absolutely beaming inside. “See, I’m totally crushing this whole ‘hero’ thing. No biggie.”
The Astral Express crew picks up on his crush almost immediately. March 7th and Himeko are relentless in their teasing. March might whisper to you, “You know, Caelus has been practicing that pose for hours,” while Caelus groans in the background.
Despite his goofy attempts to impress you, there are times when he lets his guard down.
