It might be easier to avoid the twins but he had hundreds of years to get used to Mu Qing mocking him and getting under his skin. Those two hecklers would undoubtedly not let this go and if they got bored enough at least one of them would happily do the confessing for him if he didn't man up and do it himself. He took a step back and let himself free fall. He fell for six seconds before he landed with the grace of a particularly savage cat on top of a massive ghost at least the size of a large gate. When the bumbling fool realized that someone was in fact standing on him San Lang simply hopped down for another full three more seconds before landing before the giant.

The smile dropped and he said once, "leave."

The idiot stared at him for a moment before the fool seemed to realize just who he was staring down at. He probably would have just destroyed such an idiot for having the nerve to not listen the first time but his dear Gege was here so it was only natural he behaved.

He scoffed, of course the one man who input he didn't want would have to show up. Even that bastard Hua Cheng's mockery of him would be infinitely better than this. He didn't give a damn what the Ghost King thought of him and frankly probably never will.

With the Ghost King he would get mocked, at worst he'd die if for some reason he really pissed the bastard off and lost but he wouldn't die scared. Victory may not be guaranteed but at least he would have his pride.

When he said he did not want to fight he geniunely meant it. This new bout of madness the both of them had once again volunteered for was just another long exhausting run into who the hell knew what for the crown prince. It was miserable, it felt pointless at this point and he seriously had no clue what the crown prince was even thinking this time.

"I came because we couldn't find you and the Prince was concerned you got into more trouble." That was partly a lie, Hua Cheng had really only made a smartass passing comment and he went of his own accord. There was no force, whining or coercion. "What have you been doing anyway?"

He was about ask if he had somehow forgotten they were supposed to be working, then it hit him. This idiot was literally asking him if he was in love with Xie Lian? He wasn't particularly scared of that ghost bastard but that didn't stop him looking around to make sure the prince or his favorite shadow asshole was no where around.

He quirked a brow. Looked around but saw nothing, how suspicious.

But he had to admit, something felt wrong. Out of place maybe or just down right dangerous. Regardless he stepped closer to Xie Lian and teased, "don't worry your Majesty. I won't let anyone touch you."

And if they did he would make sure their suffering would be known in every corner of the realm of ghosts and the realm of heaven. They would be another example of why he was feared and he would make sure that no one would forget it.
