Mustardseed watched intently, curiously as Lady Var came through his forests again. That's right, they were his. And no one would ever convince him otherwise.
Lady Var was pretty. One of the prettiest Giant Ones he'd ever seen. Oh, and she said the sweetest things to him sometimes! While Mustardseed wasn't really a fan of being called things like 'cute', preferring words such as fierce, brave, wonderful, and strong... he would gladly accept 'cute' from her.
He took the time to wait in the branches... just to make sure that pesky blond one wasn't accompanying her. The.. Lord Fandral, or whatever he was called. When he realized she was alone, he grinned gleefully, and hopped down from his perch and right on her shoulder.
Dear Var,
My lovely cousin, I wish you all the best of luck. I know you shall be a wonderful mother, it is in your nature. Never give up on what it is you desire, and give Fandral my best. Inform me immediately if there is to be a child, for I shall come as soon as I can to be with you and help with whatever I may. I will miss you very much, gentle cousin.
Sincerely,
Magni Thorson.

Sister. I do not wish for us to fight any longer. We have not spoken in some time, and I desire to know wherefore you are so angry with me. Please, talk to me and perhaps I may know your heart, and we can work to mend the tear in our friendship. I love you, truly. -Var
Syn looked down at the parchment in her hands, the one slid under her door. She would have thought it was Nanna playing a trick, if she wasn't wholly aware how awful Nanna's penmanship was. Syn took a deep breath in and turned, tossing the parchment into the fire, before picking up her skirts and carrying on with her day.
