On his way up to meeting with her, he had found an abandoned flower crown laying on the grass. It was perfectly intact and beautifully woven with color flowers; it was enough to catch his eye and bring it with him. He tended to associate Yellow with flowers--probably because of her time spent around the ones in the Viridian Forest.
Upon seeing her, he had dropped the crown on her head with a neutral expression firmly on his face. Seeing her smile light up had caught him by surprised--and he had to direct his eyes elsewhere to keep from returning the smile.
“I saw it on my way up here. I thought it would look nice on you.”

The plan was going as scheduled. Agatha had been watching Red's progression since his triumf in the Indigo League, and in some months, when he was strong enough to fight them, Bruno would challenge him. Lance hoped that, by then, the Silver Wing would've been found already. He'd only need to steal the badges and everything would start for real.
Until then, he'd keep training, even if lately it had become more difficult. Breathing was harder every time, and he needed to go to the forest more often than he wished. Dragonite wouldn't let the Tamer train with them if he didn't, and even if it sounded hilarious, he had no option.
Landing on Aerodactyl's back at the entrance of the forest nearest to Viridian City, Lance breathed deeply. It was certainly pleasing to feel this pure air in his tired lungs. As the Tamer started to walk, Aerodactyl soared until he was above the treetops, watching from the sky.
When he was about to reach the center of the forest, nonetheless, when he heard a human voice near him. Usually no one was at the forest in the late evening, otherwise he wouldn't come. And the girl whose that voice was seemed to be talking alone.
Approaching silently and standing behind a tree before deciding to step forward to her sight, Lance stared at her. It was just a little girl with a Ratatta, nothing more. But she was talking with that Pokémon, and... Judging by that hand on its head, it had a chance to not be only a childish game.
Another Viridian Child? Either that or a dumb kid...
He'd have to try. Depending of her replies, it would be easy to guess...
"Hey, you." Lance left the tree and walked towards her, stopping in the middle of his way. "What are you doing here so late?"
