To be so real, I strongly dislike the direction they took her character, and that's at the start of Nod-Krai, im not even commenting on the NOW. Like 3 years of build-up and they turn a character that I vibed with heavily into a joke. All the conservations now are dominated by things like "Shes the funny sidekick to Columbina!! Look, shes doing the scream!! Shes a tsundere!! Wowwie!!"

Does your heart not weep at a character so butchered? Is this truly the Sandrone we must accept now? She's been stripped of her fangs and stripped of her intellect. She was once a Harbinger, back when the title inspired some level of apprehension. But now she has become what the fandom sees her as. A harmless kitten.

Its heartbreaking, really. I can see the direction Hoyo is going to take her. Perhaps she might get event appearances after her story quest, but it will always be as Columbina's shadow. That's what defines her now. She has no personal intrigue beyond her relationship to Columbina. She's just there to be cute industry-plant yuri.

Those are my grievances. I could go further to mourn what happened to Columbina, but there would be no point. It's more of the same, Hoyo turned a possibly intimidating character into a cute girl to boost sales. Thinking about it, I dont even see the necessity, why does a multi-billion company need to maximize sales? Its a bizarre paradox, they have more than enough room to take risks, but they always feel the need to play it safe. Biblical type greed, for real

Anyhoo, Canondrone has burned its bridges, but I still like the original concept i came up with for Sandrone, so I'll keep on keeping on with her. Only I'll be naming and tagging her as "#prototype sandrone" to differentiate my AU, I suppose. This is also what my #Sandrone Headcanons series are a part of.

Her preferred weapon of choice...

...is her hands!

There's just something very ironic and awesome about an engineer girl that could build any weapon, could hide behind turrets and robots, but she's a pugilist.

It's also just the perfect fake-out. "This Harbinger specializes in machines? I bet without them, she'd be easy- Oop. Welp, there goes all of my bones."

Sandrone also doesn't care for honor like Capitano does. She'll pull hair, do cheap shots, use capes to choke people out, bring in robots to overwhelm her opponents because in a fight, she can't afford to lose.
