Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name Wednesdays God is always with us. Thankful for this little community to that sets aside time to reflect upon the Gospel of the Sunday. Unfortunately Mass is only allowed once a month in Church and despite the availability online weekly for Sunday Mass and daily for the daily Mass. The gathering of community as just they did in the early Church, is still important today. Reflecting the Gospel and then having a meal. Stories sunday Today on zoom lectio divina. I love how we share our stories. Just as the two who were bound for Emaus told their story to Jesus. Sometimes stories are innocent. Sometimes stories are twisted for personal gain. Sometimes we press the authors to stay to share more. Some authors even finds interest of their readers perspectives. Personally I find that story tellers have the responsibility to tell the truth. Unfortunately, now story tellers are swayed for personal gain. Solidarity sundays Missing @blazebox and @darrenchucky for today's lectio divina session. Twas an insightful reflection over today's Gospel. Solidarity, confidence and fishing were words that truly stood out in the sharing between @mumbley and I. Thankful for the opportunity to pray together despite the nationwide circuit breaker. Triple screen Tuesdays Though it looks funny but I'm thankful for friends who invite me for prayer. Something which is more importantly done together. For Church is not the physical building but the people of faith that comes together. "The word “church” is supposedly translated from the Greek word “ekklesia” which simply means: people assembled." Saintly sundays Presenting present day saints and hopefully future Saints. Neat crowns right? Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Presentation of the Lord. Marking the end of 40 days of Christmas. Traditions calls today, Candlemas. "As we consider the feast of the Presentation, we remember that our parents presented us at church for our baptism. We were dedicated to God, and given the name, “Christian.” We, too, received a lit candle from the paschal candle, at which the priest said, “You have been enlightened by Christ. Walk always as a child of the light and keep the flame of faith alive in your heart. When the Lord comes, may you go out to meet Him with all the saints in the heavenly kingdom” (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Therefore, as a light, each of us must bear witness to Our Lord. We must be the beacon that guides others to Christ.
