Carlos is a Ravenclaw ( take your hufflepuff!carlos and shove him up your ass fandom). The hate very briefly had an argument with Carlos, about him being placed in Gryffindor and Carlos was like no, he went on a tangent on why he upheld Ravenclaw’s priorities and such. The hat conceded. Carlos also learned all about the founders from reading Hogwarts, A History on the train because he was a bit at a disadvantage when it came to everything. His mother was not the most supportive after all.
Carlos was told to try out for quidditch by Jay, the beater for Gryffindor (or whatever house a jay partner puts him as/position on the team Im gonna defer to Jay players okay). Carlos tried out for beater, but his fast flying and quick eye quickly placed him in the seeker position. He is a legend at catching the snitch fast and early. Carlos is a really skilled and fast flyer. He can make the shittiest of brooms fly fast.
Carlos is an expert at charms. He loves how they are quick fixes to things. He also has a penchant for wandless and wordless magic. It comes very naturally to him. He likes it, but his professors don’t especially because he picks it up at a young age. He gets the highest grades in his classes. He is the smartest wizard while he is at Hogwarts, many say he rivals Hermione for brains (if post golden trio era). While he loves magic his expertise in technology is useless at Hogwarts and it leads him to being incredibly bored. His penmanship is horrible and many teachers have complained. Professor Flitwick is the only one who hasn’t because he knows why Carlos’ penmanship is so bad and its because Carlos taught himself how to read and write.
His corporal patronus is a dalmatian which was hilarious to see for the first time because he is deathly afraid of dogs. He has a cat named Beelzebub that is fucking huge. His boggart is his mother which leads to many questions he is not willing to answer.
He often can be found cleaning the common room and the dorm rooms, which upset the house elves because they cannot do their job, but they let him do it anyways. He tends to get angry when they ask him to stop. Professor Flitwick was alerted once, and he went and got Professor McGonagall. It took her a good few hours to get Carlos to explain things. Needless to say, she looks out for the boy.
