My friend, Alice Provensen would have been 100 years old today. I miss her so much.
I grew up with books illustrated by the Provensens, and likely many of you did too. From books on kittens, to ten Shakespeare plays, to James Beard eggs, they worked as a husband and wife team. Alice P died last week at 99. Swipe to see other pieces of their work. You can also find an obit in The NY Times. Repost @thefindingeye ・・・ Alice Provensen, RIP 1918-2018. Her work will forever be a bold memory in the many children's books that she Illustrated with her husband. #artist #aliceprovensen #provensen #provensens
