For a farmhouse makeover near the Virginia coast; Clear and Knotty Alder that I was fortunate to get a great deal on ordering through my local @woodcraftgallery In Chattanooga, great bunch of guys in that store! This is a custom entry door, with traditional mortise and tenon joinery, stain with @minwax #provincialstain which is one of the two stain choices I offer through minwax. But this provincial came through for me on this one yielding a rustic look with a contrasting modern finish of teak oil and satin urethane. Seven coats of finish on either side of the door. Weather seal between each panel. Glass is 1/4” tempered low-e, or thermal glass, set with glazing tape and silicone in the corners for an airtight fit.
