I just finished reading Proxy by Alex London and I loved it SO MUCH. I haven't yelled at a book while reading it as much as I did with this one in a long time. MY HEART. I'm bawling!
Everyone should read the proxy series
1. Main character (Syd) is a jewish gay man of color
2. Another main is probably bisexual
3. Badass social conscious woman of color
4. Queer amputee main in book 2
5. Treats people suffering from drug addiction like valid, good people, not like selfish or evil
6. High key denounces capitalism
7 Acknowledges that winning a rebellion ≠ well functioning new nation
8. Makes you cry but in the best possible way
9. Non-formulaic Dystopian adventure book
10. NO UNNECESSARY ROMANTIC SUBPLOTS
11. Minor character is probs non binary
12. Fantastic redemption arch
13. Ghosts/visions of dead people that just fuck you up (legit made me cry)
