Guilt by Proxy
When she heard the door to her apartment click open in the dead of night, Nym wasn’t perturbed.
Sure, once again her dinner had been interrupted, and this mysterious nuisance intruder would likely attempt to attack her, but she found her mind drifting to a casual sort of acceptance instead.
She calmly looked over her shoulder, one eye half-lidded.
“Who’s come to kidnap the mighty Nym this time? The Abyssalites? A Lurker?”
However, her nonchalant facade quickly shattered as she laid eyes upon the invader. She stiffened, jumping to her feet as she snarled, “Proxy!”
The sinewy beast slunk forth, her paws hardly touching the ground as her stitched eyes twitched, the animate mask on the side of her head letting out quiet giggles.
The dark, masked Exclubliss flashed a crooked grin.
“So the traitor remembers me? You really are full of surprises- WOAH!”
She cut off with a yelp as Nym fired a blast of energy at her, searing her ribbon-like arm and burning it clean off. The mask began to squeal.
