Ryouta's feelings on Sora are kind of complicated? To be honest, Ryouta probably would not have ever paid the other much mind had it not been for the act that Ryouta actually learned his secret.

The thing with Ryouta is that he likes the ideas of having knowledge that others don't, because it makes him feel special?? Because of this, Ryouta started becoming a lot more protective over Sora. He didn't want the one thing he felt was his 'advantage' to be lost.

Ryouta??? is more of a jerk tbh. Unlike Ryouko (yes i'm making these parallels shu sh), Ryouta did not care about the person he was protecting nearly as much. Ryouko literally did it out of genuine admiration, whilst Ryouta did it kind of for his own personal gain. It was his very own way of being 'heroic' in a sense, and have a reason for people to like him even if it did the exact opposite. Ryouta is a dirty liar who stretches the truth waaay too much. A lot of his motivation also included his guilt over a backstory event, so he kind of felt like being executed would be his redemption after the long course of events with the mutual killing?

He would have kept going on with this had it not been for how Sora reacted to his baby crying and outburst. Ryouta legitimately gets quite confused and worked up over any hint of romantic attraction towards himself, which really just makes Ryouta a lot more interested in Sora as a person.

As much as I ship it, I think at the point Ryouta is in the story, he kind of?? doesn't deserve Sora at all?? It could be the start to something, but right now Ryouta definitely views him in a positive way I guess ahahaha

"Ishikawa-san, do you mind if I investigate your room?"

"Um... go ahead. I ain't too worried, so take my keycard. I'll... just... uh... k-keep a good look on the outside, 'kay?"

He opens his jacket with a closed fist and attempts to obtain his card very slowly. Once anyone would be able to see it, the private investigator winced in pain and dropped it on the floor.

He stood there for a moment blinking before chuckling nervously and averting his gaze.

"Er... y... you mind getting that? It kinda... hurts to... touch things, heheh... S-Sorry..."

He pauses, straightening out his back and fiddling with the tips of his fingers for a few moments before speaking up once more.

"Heh... I...It ain't none a' my business, b-but... um... I'm... glad yer still lookin' okay. Er, can I be saying that...?" He sighed. "W-W-Well... um, no matter. Just, uh... get to your business, I guess..."
