Some Sarabi / baby Simba with Bahati, who is written by @prxnceofthepride ! <33
The Circle of Life goes on
Life has been reborn in the Pridelands as the rain washed away all the filth of Scar's reign. The herds when they found out son of Mufasa had returned, they started migrating back into the kingdom. The hyenas and Scar's loyal followers, Zira and some other lionesses left (Simba exiled them), and the delicate balance of the land was restored.
All went back into a peaceful manner, and Simba couldn't be any happier as his first cub was born, Bahati. He couldn't help but smile proudly whenever he saw the little cub in Nala's protective paws and when he saw Rafiki lifting him up during the presentation ceremony, Simba just got the feeling of something deep in his soul: from that day on, his place in the great Circle of Life was to secure the future of his son, his family and his kingdom - at any cost.
Time just flew by, and Bahati soon grew into a cub. He was now old enough to start to learn all the royal lessons he was supposed to and Simba was glad to pass on the teachings he had learned from his father.
"Good morning, son. I was about to start my morning patrol and I was wondering if you want to join me?"

ㅤTHE MOON WAS FULL & BRIGHT, shining onto the dunes and sparse flora. Coyote bandits scrambled their paws in the sand, fleeing from the Masked lion. Hidden under that mask would be juvenile Prince Jeduluh, who's ever-growing size and sturdy sword granted him the natural ability to force opponents away. With his little brother hooked under an arm, now safe and sound, he found his way back to his supply wagon. He placed the cub on a stone.
He leant a paw against the wagon, facing away. The wind carried hints of a growl to the cub. ❝ You could have been ... lost. ❞ Whether or not Prince Bahati knew he meant killed he didn't know. Perhaps the stowaway cub would instead notice the hypocrisy; wouldn't their parents say the same thing to Jeduluh at finding out he himself snuck out from the palace — beyond even the main city — into the heart of the wilderness ?
A Long Dry Season
This dry season was one of the longest dry seasons as there hadn't been such a drought in a long time in the Pride Lands. There was less and less to eat and water sources were running low. The animals were starving.
The king and queen had hope in the Great Kings that they would once have mercy on them and give them the rain they had been waiting for for so long. Clouds came, clouds went, but none of them brought the desired rain.
The miracle was yet to come.
Aslan was wandering at the border of the kingdom so that he could be alone in silence to pray. He became aware of laughter nearby, and as he looked around he could see it was the young prince, Bahati.
"Well, well, little one, you should not be this far away from Pride Rock. It can be dangerous."

Another day, another dismal reminder of what he didn't have.
Scar had taken to lounging on a large, flat stone to the side of Pride Rock. It had been warmed by the sunrise, making it a more appealing option than one of the back caves. In another life, this place would have been his. He was overlooked - again - and was punished to spend the rest of his life with a purpose dangling just out of reach. It was seen as some sort of 'mercy' to be allowed to stay, but Fahari was a fool. How was it merciful to live a life without meaning? No power, no legacy, just Scar...
And a rather annoying nephew who had the unnerving skill of always knowing where the older lion was.
Scar lifted his head to give the bare minimum of an acknowledgement to the cub. The rock was warm and he was not moving from it. "I didn't think you would be allowed out on your own this early."

A low growl left the cub's throat as she pressed her body down low in a position to pounce. And she would if the stranger got any closer.
"Stop right there, Pridelander! What are you doing here in our territory?"
