“Mike, what’s the point of going to the beach if there’s no sun?” she questioned her cousin as they made their way down to the more rocky than sandy shores at La Push beach.  He didn’t give her much of a response, his attention too focused on his way-too-obvious crush Bella.  Bella was nice, so she didn’t really mind, but he was way out of his element around her, which was so amusing.  They made it down to the beach and Maya climbed onto a giant piece of driftwood, leaning back and looking up at the gloomy sky above.  “Just a little sun, that’s all I ask,” she muttered to herself, unaware that someone else had walked up to them and heard her.
