heat laid upon the markov’s farm like BILLOWING clouds. antonin had become accustomed to the heat, having fought in world war ii prior, and now, making a living by farming. he had wounded himself badly at pearl harbor, which resulted in the loss of his left leg from the ankle down. ever since then, he had collected his pension and picked up his father’s old farmhouse, along with the farm. he had married alec; and the act had seemed normal at first—— like a part of life, but now it had seemed scary when he was lying in bed at night with a stranger. it’s not as bad now that he’s gotten used to alec’s presence, but the act itself had seemed almost forced. antonin didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable because the boy seemed so DELICATE. now, they could not be recognized as a married couple because two men couldn’t marry in the united states. however, the intimacy, the coupling up, the domesticity, had deemed them a marry couple through spirit. it had been an agreement between their parents, and antonin had always had his eye on alec. since before he had quit school, before ant had hit his growth spurt, he had kept the little crush to himself because he felt it wasn’t normal. then, he comes out of the military and there he is, waiting in his father’s old house to act as the role of antonin’s wife, to bear his children and whatnot. he had just finished working on his old ford pick-up truck &. had made his way inside. he was in some overalls and old boots with the flannel worn underneath completely unbuttoned. his porcelain skin had reddened, and on the back of his neck had been sunburned. the tall man shut the old screen door behind him and made his way into the kitchen, where he had heard stirring. he gently wrapped his hands around alec’s waist and gave him a little, i n n o c e n t kiss on the back of the neck, the height difference almost making it awkward. ‘ glad to see ya up and at it. ‘ said antonin. his labor on the farm started with the sunrise. // @prxttybxys
