ALEC:
it was hard to deny the beauty of alec’s idyllic little life on the farm. it was not what he had ever anticipated for himself, and yet he could feel a sense of belonging and homeliness settling about the farm and his new home. admittedly, he had been terrified when he was faced with this new life. of course he’d had an abundance of affection for all those in their little town, nestled in the south. it was simply a part of him. anyone could count on a kind smile from alec. even when the agreement was made between their parents alec was unbothered. antonin had always been good to him; it wasn’t until the hulking figure pulled up outside of the farmhouse, a mountain of a man heading straight for him that the reality settled in for alec. not only was he disarmed by antonin’s change, but it was then that he realized the immediacy of their relationship and therefore the intimacy. he had always thought himself a good christian boy and yet now he could feel the expectation that he consummate soon. it was unsettled, a bit frightening even with antonin’s figure. and yet with each passing day he found a new way to love his new partner, to trust him. when he felt those bulging arms wrap around his slender frame and the lips pressing against his neck he still shuddered so slightly with the uncommon wave of pleasure. the smile on his face was sincere as he turned his head to face the man behind him. “i thought you might enjoy a proper breakfast after your work.” alec’s eyes were filled with desperation for antonin to like his surprise or give him any indication that he was on the right track. he’d certainly at least hoped that he had made enough to feed the brutish man. “i’m learning to wake up a bit earlier – so i can do this for you every morning. i wasn’t sure what was your favorite so i just made a bit of everything.” he admitted sheepishly, a blush coloring his cheeks as he nervously bit his lip.
antonin had his days where he felt little-to-no pain, then there were days when the pain SHOCKED him. today he was having a day of mild pain, having been walking around in the crops on his prosthetic since sunrise. at first he had seen his wound from that damned war as embarrassing and as a struggle, but he got used to not having a part of himself anymore and he came to terms with that. he was wary of what alec might’ve thought, but it didn’t seem to make him love the man any less. after all, it didn’t change his performance much now, except when he was working and it got a little painful, then he’d have to take a seat and relax till the pain had subsided. however, his wound did worry him for the future of their farm, which was the primary source of income for them. soon, he might have to hire some help, or possibly if they had a kid he could teach him or her the basics so that they would know what to do when the time came. he kissed alec’s lips gently, raising his chin with a large hand to face him. ‘ thanks, darlin’. ‘ his accent was a hybrid between a southern drawl and a thick russian tone, having been an immigrant who picked up on the southern dialect. he took a seat at the table, lit a cigarette, and began to place several different food items onto his plate, at least a little of everything. he scooted in towards the table and reached out for alec’s hand. ‘ won’t ya have breakfast with me? there are a few things we need to talk about. ‘ he smiled as to show him it wasn’t anything dire, then kissed his knuckles gently before he began to eat.
