hi hannah! if it's not too much of a bother, can you please do a tutorial on how you did your header using that specific template? i checked the said template and the lower part is transparent (not white bg) and i want to learn how to blend (?) it with gifs. i'm a beginner and really clueless. appreciate it a lot if you can help, thank you so so much <3

Sorry for the super late response to this! I have NO idea what happened that made them transparent for some reason (🤡) but I went through and fixed them in the folder from this post so they should have the white border now and all you should have to do is the steps here from this header tutorial i made. Let me know if that doest work for some reason!

where do you get your funky gif borders in your header?

okay i've been searching for an hour and i can't find the original person/post i got it from and im pretty sure i've tried to find it again before and they've either deleted their blog or the download link SO ive put the templates in a folder here if you want them but im going to also link here, here, and here as pretty much the only 3 places ive gotten header templates from in case it is one of theirs and im just missing it

hey do you have a psd for 80s shows/movies?

Not really, it would be hard to make a generic psd for the 80s because every movie/show is lit so differently. I pretty much make a new coloring for each gif i make but if you had a specific set of mine in mind i might have saved the exact coloring, otherwise i usually use my psd here and adjust everything per scene

Hi! I don't know if you've already answered this but this gifset post/787288241632083968/legolas-greenleaf-long-under-tree-in-joy-thou-hast was absolutely stunning so I was wondering if you could share what sharpening you used and coloring? It looks so clear and sharp at the same time, if that makes sense.

Thank you so much! for the sharpening I used my normal sharpening that i've posted an action for before but here is where you can get it and for the coloring that's a little more complicated because it's one of those sets that i color each gif individually and didn't use the same psd...

i did my best to recreate two of the colorings since they might work on something else if you adjust settings, here they are if you want them 💚 i would say 85% of the coloring is done with the selective color layers

when I started making gifs again, I used this gif tutorial by @redbelles to a T. it's explained really really well and lists a lot of resources and examples.

this is also the sharpening action I use. it's made by @daenerys-stormborn. 99% of the time I use v3/sharper blur

if I can get a file in 4k/2160p, that's what I use to get screencaps from. if not 4k, I get 1080p (x265). I can spend hours messing with coloring so the higher the quality the better.
