Day 181: Game Controllers
(Requested by @barfyhere)
I got today's loot of a PS1 controller replica accessory for my backpack (the most nostalgic one of the bunch), as well as a Yoshi keychain, a Spider-Man T-shirt and a Spider-Gwen cushion! (I also got a $20 Steam gift card just in case Nioh 2 goes on sale on Steam, as I got the first game on Steam)

This is going to be a completely random point, but can I take a minute to talk about just how awesome the original PS1 controller is? Because it’s pretty dang great. (I’m referring to any versions of the controller, including the original, dual-analogue, and dualshock.)
I normally use a wireless Xbox 360 controller for my PC gaming needs, but if I didn’t have two large dogs that sometimes don’t pay attention to cords when they’re walking around, I would use this PS1 controller far more often. It’s light-weight, feels sturdy, all the buttons are firm, and it just feels so responsive... moreso than any of the other controllers I have (in my little ol’ opinion, anyway). I also bought a $2 USB adapter for it so I could use it on my computer, and I swear every game just plays better as a result.
I’m sure many others will argue they improved the controller over time, and they’ll probably argue there are better controllers out there... but regardless if either are true, I swear this thing is one of my favorites, and I’ll take it over any other controller any day! :D
This is my favorite PlayStation pad.
