We had a great time at The Academy Hotel in London for the PS150 pop up cocktail bar event last Thursday. As we were staying over courtesy of The Academy we decided to make a night of it and dine out at Roka on Charlotte Street when the event had finished. We were really impressed with the hotel. It’s another YTL Hotels property (same as @thegainsboroughbathspa ) and also part of the @smallluxuryhotels collection. The staff were super friendly and Ralf the manager was very warm and welcoming. The hotel really does feel like a home from home and the interior decoration is gorgeous. Its really well located too, just a stones throw from Tottenham Court Road for all you shopaholics and within easy walking distance of a number of good restaurants. We highly recommend it for a few days stopover in London. On Friday after we checked out we had a spa day at The Grange Hotel in Holborn. The massages were so relaxing and we had the pool to ourselves. After the spa we headed for lunch at @fumorestaurant on St Martins Lane. This was recommend by Gemma and what a find! Great Italian food and wine and the restaurant is beautiful - highly recommend. All in all a great 48 hours! It’s really important to get away and reconnect as a couple, especially when you live a crazy city life.
