When the morning light shines in — The beautiful Wilayah Mosque could not have been easier to get to from where we stayed. We had a great time at The Academy Hotel in London for the PS150 pop up cocktail bar event last Thursday. As we were staying over courtesy of The Academy we decided to make a night of it and dine out at Roka on Charlotte Street when the event had finished. We were really impressed with the hotel. It’s another YTL Hotels property (same as @thegainsboroughbathspa ) and also part of the @smallluxuryhotels collection. The staff were super friendly and Ralf the manager was very warm and welcoming. The hotel really does feel like a home from home and the interior decoration is gorgeous. Its really well located too, just a stones throw from Tottenham Court Road for all you shopaholics and within easy walking distance of a number of good restaurants. We highly recommend it for a few days stopover in London. On Friday after we checked out we had a spa day at The Grange Hotel in Holborn. The massages were so relaxing and we had the pool to ourselves. After the spa we headed for lunch at @fumorestaurant on St Martins Lane. This was recommend by Gemma and what a find! Great Italian food and wine and the restaurant is beautiful - highly recommend. All in all a great 48 hours! It’s really important to get away and reconnect as a couple, especially when you live a crazy city life. Can’t wait till our trip to the South of France 🇫🇷 this summer. The Côte d’Azur is a home from home for us and we have so many great memories from our trips their over the years. It ticks all the boxes for us with great beaches, amazing scenery, delicious food and enough wine to drown in! We have rented an AirBnB on this trip but there are so many great hotels in the region you are spoiled for choice. We have stayed in a few in St Tropez but haven’t yet tried Muse. It’s part of the YTL Hotel Group and if you have been following us lately you would have seen that we’ve been really impressed with some of their UK hotels. Our next mission is to try some of their hotels further afield and report back to you guys.
