My PS3 just froze when I was playing a game (not a disc game - it was downloaded from PSstore) and I had to restart it. Then in froze again and the TV screen went black. What do I do?

Does anyone else have issues, or had issues, with getting the One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 - Story Pack? Apparently, it was released two days ago (here), I’ve already purchased it, but, when I try to download it from PSN, it goes to do something, then doesn't do anything. I have more than enough space to download it, so that’s not the problem...

So... Anyone else, who owns a PS3, have any imput to what’s going on? Or, could direct me to a site that could help?

so I went to start a playthrough of ME2 on my PS3 and I was so pumped because it's my favorite game in the trilogy. However, I went to check my previous saves and I realize why I stopped playing last time. Once I reached Illium on my last playthrough, the game started lagging and skipping. There would be no music, no dialogue, characters would disappear and it would take forever to load. Eventually I just gave up because all it would end up doing is freezing. Hoping that this wouldn't happen again, I started a new game normally and the same thing began happening in the opening cinematics. This PS3 isn't even a year old and it has no issues whatsoever running any other games. The disk has some scratches and was bought used a while ago. Can anybody offer any help? I feel like this would be fine if I just bought another disk but I don't want to go and waste my money. Also, would uninstalling and reinstalling the game help?

Looking to (finally) upgrade to ps3 or ps4

Seriously considering an upgrade from ye olde PS2. The point of contention (beyond price point) is availability of old games via PSN. Does the PS4's PSN have FFVII/VIII/IX and Spyro 1, 2, & 3? I know the PS3 has at least 4 of these and costs half or less what a PS4 does right now.

My PS3.... died?

So my brother was playing Destiny in it and it froze, he reset and it had that check-up download thing, after 5 hours of waiting when it hit 100%......black screen.... and black screen again and again, no matter what we do it is with a black screen;;; 

then, big bro tried to restore system and deleted everything (*sobs*) then it turned on, bro did log in with his psn theeen..... it won’t read any disk[i think he only tried to put destiny again though] or download anything from psn-store, somehow “can’t download data”.....

help. ; w ;

PS3 help needed

I downloaded the Joker add-on from the PS store, even got the confirmation / 'thank you for your purchase' email from Sony, but I can't find out how to play as Joker on the challenge maps? I saw someone said online you have to go on Downloadable Content on the game, so I did that and it keeps telling me I need to connect to the PS store for additional content when I have downloaded it and am connected.

Yo my PS3 is acting up and does anybody know what's wrong with it?

When I tried to turn it on, it said that a file has been corrupted or something like that and it needed to be restored so I was like "...okay sure." and it gets up to 100% and then it just shows blackness. Nothing happens and I'm unable to turn it off without unplugging it. I haven't tried to fix it since like Sunday but idk. Any advice? Thanks in advanced.
