All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
City of Dreams, you live in your grave.

lore time, lore time!
Eli, first and foremost, is a street racer - merc gigs are a side thing for her, some extra money. she's quite handy with cars, has a little garage in Kabuki where she lives and works on them. apart from many projects in progress though, she has one, most beloved machine; which I thought about for a long, long time, never quite settling on what it exactly is.
but uh, if Johnny can have a Porsche, she can have a Nissan.
some time after finally settling on the exact car, I realised that I can recreate and customise it in another game - Need For Speed - and here it is! it has plenty fun decals, my favourites being little "obey" on the front bumper, "heavy foot, empty head" on the side, and "NC finest" on the windshield. from other stuff, a cherry sticker referring to the ship name with Johnny, and "crash" on the plates, referring to her old nomad nickname 💖 + lots lots lots of unnecessary funky car thingies, like a little fiery blue toot from the exhaust pipe
CP screenshot by wonderful Syphon, NFS screenshots by me!
I know you tried, I know you tried your best - and now it's time to put this all to rest.
"So, what now? Got a plan?" "Mhm, no." "You're just gonna sit here? Wasting time? Eli, I swear to fuck." "Perhaps."
Surrounded by thousands and thousands of concrete blocks - walls of metal, cages of stone, bound by endless cables and wires; I missed the desert. And don't get me wrong, please! I love Night City, I really do: the neons, colourful lights, the never-ending rhythm of life, hum of the streets and someone, somewhere, always there, always in action. It all speaks to me, like sweet candies speak to a child - but it's a different kind of attraction. It's electrifying, addicting, a forbidden lover, this place. What I missed... Was home. Sun on my skin, the silence, empty horizon. Family and friends, always there and never there. The possibilities and the lack of them - knowing it all and not knowing in the slightest. I missed this one thing that Night City took from me; one that you could only feel when you got a taste of it, one that nomadic souls cherish the most. Freedom.
