Two New Companion Books Announced for ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales’
by Rachel Paige
“Ahead of the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Titan Books will release a new fiction and non-fiction book, serving as companions for the game. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – Wings of Fury, written by acclaimed bestselling author of SLAY, Brittney Morris, will be published on November 10 2020, followed by a full-color coffee table hardback, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – The Art of the Game by Matt Ralphs in February 2021.”
[ID: A book cover featuring Miles in his Spidey suit. He’s upside down in the air, with one arm stretched out in front of him to shoot a web. He seems to be relaxed, like he’s not in the middle of a fight. A pigeon is quickly flying away and the Empire State Building looms in the background.
At the top of the cover is the title, and below that, to the left of Miles, it says, “the official prequel to the blockbuster action video game”. At the bottom of the image is the second part of the title, “Wings of Fury”, as well as the author’s name: “Brittney Morris, bestselling author of Slay”. End ID.]
“With an exclusive adventure leading directly into the game itself, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – Wings of Fury features Miles Morales coming to terms with what it means to be Spider-Man. A mix-up with the law leaves Miles questioning everything and when Vulture and his accomplice Starling unleash experimental tech on Marvel’s New York, Miles must decide what kind of hero he wants to be.”
[ID: Another book cover. Miles is in the air just above two enemies. He’s wearing shoes, shorts, and a coat over his Spidey suit. He has both hands out to electrocute his foes. The title at the top reads, “Spider-Man: Miles Morales - The Art of the Game”. The author’s name at the bottom is “Matt Ralphs”. End ID.]
“Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – The Art of the Game is the ultimate companion, capturing the creative process of this much-anticipated blockbuster action game. This lush, hardback book showcases the remarkable concept art and in-game renderings including characters, locations, tech, gadgets, Spider suits and much more. All the vibrant art is accompanied by fascinating insights from the artists, collaborators, and developers at Insomniac Games, PlayStation, and Marvel behind the game.”

[ID: A reference page for Miles Morales’s new TRACK Suit. The head, shoulders, outer arms, sides, and inner thighs are made of a black reinforced material that’s described as “more protective” and “armored”. The webbing on the head, neck, and chest, as well as lines on the outer arms and calves, are red rubber or a similar material. It’s described as “flexible yet tough”. It also makes up the spider logos on the chest and back. The rest of the suit is white spandex/lycra.
There are also references for the hands and feet. The hands are black and red with padding on the fingers and palms. The padding has a “breathable, porous, sportswear texture”. The feet are also black and red with padding on the bottom. The padding has a “course rubber texture” or a “mesh texture”. End ID.]

[ID: The cover for The Amazing Spider-Man #53. It shows Miles crouched on the side of a skyscraper and looking down upon a Times Square of purples, pinks, and blues. He’s seen from behind, and the spider logo on his back is bright red to contrast the darkness of the rest of his suit. However, he isn’t wearing his mask.
Miles’ spidey sense is going off due to what’s on Times Square’s large screens; every single one is broadcasting the villain Tinkerer. End ID.]
cover by Insomniac Games art director Jason Hickey, “[joining] Miles as he looks down upon an NYC infected by the new threat of Tinkerer and the Underground”
[ID: Another cover for The Amazing Spider-Man #53. Miles is in his suit, pulling his mask on. A strand of webbing is swirling around behind him, against a red background. End ID.]

That trailer made me so emotional oh my god
