Unless the Lord watches over the city,

In vain you rise early

Psalm 127 - 1

Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves. Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

When our body goes to sleep and our body has the ability to clean and replenish itself during rest, so does our life flow when we are in alignment with the divine love, when we are in alignment we do not need hard work and to push against the stream instead everything comes to us like water in a river to the ocean. It is when we let go and relax where we are the most powerful.

From a space of peace and rest is where we need to work. In alignment with the Divine.

All Good Things Come from God

1 If the Lord doesn’t build the house, the builders are working for nothing [in vain; without purpose]. If the Lord doesn’t guard the city, the guards are watching for nothing [in vain; without purpose].

2 It is no use [in vain; without purpose] for you to get up early and stay up late, working for a living [eating the bread of hardship/pain]. The Lord gives sleep to those he loves [or provides for those he loves while they sleep].

3 Children are a gift [an inheritance] from the Lord; babies [the fruit of the womb] are a reward.

4 Children who are born to a young man [of one’s youth] are like arrows in the hand of a warrior [they help in the challenges and conflicts of life].

5 Happy [Blessed] is the man who has his bag [quiver] full of arrows [them].
