Hello everyone! With the poll on my main blog, many ppl have voted for a psd tutorial so here it is! Here are some things to note:
✦ ・ There is NO fixed way on making psds and this is simply my way of going through it.
✦ ・ this will be a in depth tutorial so it'll show u my whole process! Skip to step 3 for actual process.
✦ ・ there are other tutorials on tumblr that i def recommend! Such as @/canarysage and @/imbermagnvs
1. Lets get straight to the point! Choose the image(s) you want, i often make a moodboard first but thats optional and you can just choose ur image. (not sure if anyone needs this but to import or place images, press file -> open)
2. Next, make a folder by pressing the layer button (the 5th button the right based on my image)
3. Firstly, i use hue/saturation to make her a lil more vibrant so my colours can be more uhhh vibrant or vivid.
4. Now, every editors fav! Selective colour 💓 I'm not really good at explaining so pls visit canarysage to see what it is! It's good to tweak some colours without affecting the other colours.
5. I recommend adding more selective colours as i added few more but cuz of the limit i can't show u help but i recommend adding 2-3 anyways! This is the psd so far which seems okay but to me it doesn't pop out so I'll be adding on
7. So i decided to add hue/saturation w the same reason as point 3.
8. Next, i use vibrance to not oversaturate the image.
9. Now i use brightness and contrast, It’s often used for quick n straightforward edits to enhance visibility.
10. Let's add another hue/saturation layer cuz why not! Please remember to experiment w what u do since this is how you can have your own "style" of making ur edits.
10. Next, let's add levels! I recommend checking out canarysage since they explained it better than i ever could.
11. Now, another layer of selective colour
and tada! This is my psd so far but i love those psds that r bright so I'll add on but this is optional!
12. Now let's add a channel mixer to create some custom effects <3
And here's the psd outcome! You'd wanna save it as save as psd (i HIGHLY recommend you put ur psd on a 100x100 canvas w a pic so it doesn't take much space)
ANOTHER NOTE!! i always test my psd on dark skin characters afterwards and made adjustments when needed i realised my selective colours made em abit red so feel free to adjust if ur using this tutorial! If u made it this far drop a follow 😈
please, if this tutorial was useful for you in any way, like/reblog the post

1. Curvas - para ajustar a luminosidade da imagem

Hi bbyssssss. How's it going? I hope at home and well <3 An anony asked me a orange psd tutorial and here I am. Let's go to the tutorial!
1. Curves - to adjust the brightness of the image
2. Color lookup - let's use color lookup to use a photoshop 'filter' and give a drastic change in colors and get that rosy look. Use the 2Strip.look filter and leave the opacity at 47%:
3. Channel Mixer - to intensify the rosy tone and change some colors
4. Selective color - to adjust the red and yellow parts, open the way to the orange we all love
5. Curves - to make the parts more glossy opaque
6. Selective color - to make the colors greyer and intensify the dark areas
7. Vibrance - to light up the colors a little
8. Gradient map - invert it to give us a little more opaque effect. Leave its blending mode in soft light and opacity at 21%
9. Color balance - to take a little of the predominant yellow
10. Selective color - to once again intensify the red and yellow parts, and leave a little more opaque the areas with more brightness
11. Black and white - to give a little changed in the light. Leave blending mode in difference and opacity at 12%
12. Brightness/Contrast - to adjust the light a little
13. Vibrance - to once again give a little bit of intensity in the colors
14. Hue/Saturation - to change the tone of the cyan parts
15. Selective color - to change the tone of the cyan again, give the more orange shade on the red and intensify the darker areas
16. Hue/Saturation - to finish with a more orange tone
That's it guys, I hope it helped, in case you have any questions just send an ask and I will help you. IF SOMETHING WAS HELPFUL TO YOU, PLEASE LIKE/REBLOG THE POST. See you in the next tutorial.
hello ! your psds are absolutely breathtaking. i was just wondering for a poc psd, how would you bring out the color brown? im trying to make my own psds and i have no idea how to bring that color out !!
there’s a couple of ways to do it based on the sort of psd you’re trying to create ! for psds like juniper, candy girl, amethyst or tatiana I completely blew out all skin tones to as close to white as possible, then used selective color to create the exact shade of brown I wanted. for this method, I would use the “white” channel of the selective color and mess around with darkening the black, red and yellow mostly, though a little added blue can help mute the overall color as well.
most of my other poc-friendly psds, though, are a mix of color balance and selective color layers. on color balance I up the reds / yellows of an image while, with color balance, I use the red and yellow channels to bring out the exact color that I want. you sort of just have to play around to get the colors that you want, here’s a few examples of what’s possible !
original images, unedited:
using only one selective color layer, I upped all the colors in the “red” and “yellow” channels to about 40 or 50 and upped the black in the “black” channel to about 20:
again, only using a single selective color layer, I added +20 black in the “black” channel, -25 cyan +42 red +100 yellow and +27 black in the “red” channel, and + 27 red +100 yellow and +55 black in the “yellow” channel:
this is my psd “juniper” which, as I mentioned before is a psd that lightens everything as close to white as possible. it takes quite a lot of curves and vibrance and a few threshold layers to get a psd to be that bright but after all of those, to get these colors, the psd is mostly selective color layers. as I said I start out using the “white channel” and add yellows and reds and some black to start darkening them again. I generally find it easier to make yellow or red the dominant color there, and I usually go with red, and then on a separate selective color layer I start working in the “red” channel and messing with colors there. like I said this method takes a lot more trial and error.
so, overall the main points I can give is to utilize the Selective Color tool as much as possible. don’t try to do everything on one layer but build up small adjustments through multiple layers. red and yellow make up the base of darker complexions so those are the best colors to play with – by no means should you be removing them if you’re making a poc friendly psd bc doing that WILL wash them out ! adding a little touch og blue / cyan to reds will help to desaturate colors and give them a little bit more natural complexion in your psd ( i.e. my first example ).
I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please feel free to send them in !

GIF coloring tutorial, requested by asummonerslight.
[REPOSTED FROM MY OLD BLOG VIERAWOOD]
I like to sharpen my gifs before coloring them. There are many different sharpening techniques, but I prefer to use actions. I made an action that will sharpen up to 145 frames that you can download here, if you would like to use it! Just keep in mind it only works if you haven't deleted any layers or frames (it works through layers 1-145), so be sure to use it before removing any unwanted frames or layers.
If you have under 145 frames a little window may pop up:
In which case you can click 'Stop'. Here's the gif after sharpening:
Now time for coloring!
I know I've said this a million times, but for those just getting into editing who would like to make their own colorings/psds from scratch, I have a list of tips here.
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Vibrance. Alternatively you can click the button below to access vibrance settings as well.
Here are my settings:
And here's the gif after playing with the vibrance settings:
The coloring looks kind of off, doesn't it? We'll fix it soon! Now go to Layer > New Fill Layer > Gradient (or just click the little button on the bottom and select 'Gradient'). Here are my settings:
I used the 'Copper' gradient, it should be under your default gradient group. Set this layer to Soft Light, at 100% opacity. My result was this:
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Curves (or click the button again to access it). Here are my settings:
And the result:
We're getting somewhere, sort of. Now go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance. Here are my settings:
Midtones:
Shadows:
The Highlights settings remain at default. The result:
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. I only adjusted the red settings:
Finally, go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation. Here are my settings:
And the result:
Wow. That looks kind of scary. We're not done yet! Make sure your Hue/Saturation layer is still selected, and the layer mask (white rectangle) is selected as well. It should look something like this:
Use the brush tool (my brush is a 160px soft-rounded brush, with 0% hardness, 100% opacity in black. Make sure to use black.). Brush over Yuna and parts of the background, while making sure to leave the left and right edges intact. Mine came out looking like this:
And the gif now looks like this:
The GIF is now complete! Here's the settings I used for saving:
Hello everyone! In this tutorial I will show you the process of creating this psd. I'm going to assume you have a basic knowledge of Photoshop before following along.
First, sharpen the image. I usually sharpen my images before applying colorings, text, etc. I don't know if there's a difference between sharpening it first or last, it's just what I prefer doing.
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast. Alternatively, you can click this button here to access adjustment layer settings.
Here are my brightness and contrast settings (I get a little too "contrast happy" sometimes, haha).
The resulting image:
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Vibrance. Here are my vibrance settings:
And the resulting image... everythings more saturated!
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance. Here are my settings:
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. Click the box at the top to choose which color to adjust. I started with cyan.
At this point I was satisfied with the coloring.
The next step is entirely optional. Make a new layer and fill it with #000000. Then use the eraser tool (soft-rounded brush) and erase the center of the layer, making sure to leave the edges dark.
Then set the layer to soft light and 40% opacity...
...And the coloring is finished! Here's a before and after:
I hope you found this useful! I made a psd for this tutorial as well (if you just want to use the coloring, or use it as reference), which you can download here. Happy editing!
Posters are the brilliant and most effective way of promoting an idea.

We can say that posters are important part of advertisement. An eye catching and attractive poster delivers a message more effectively about product, service or any particular event. So while designing a poster you must be careful about its appearance. It must be appealing and eye-catching.
