Pseudoubt - Half Life (Jel Remix)
Hailing from Minneapolis, Pseudoubt, are an alternative hip-hop/electronic fusion trio consisting of vocalist, Artifex, producer/DJ Adratic and guitarist Riley Iris. They have recently released their second album ‘Where Nothing Grows’ Via Desoplex, an independent label based in the USA. The original verision of ‘Half Life’ is eerie and haunting, with soft subtle synths bubbling away in the background, under a poignant though-provoking vocal.
Oakland Bay Area based beat maker, Jel (of Anticon, Themselves, Subtle, 13 & God) as treated ‘Half Life’ to a special remix. Completely flipping the original on it’s head - the remix adds some extra life and energy to the track, keeping it simple with a groovy beat and fuzz guitar riff.
