psevdonym:
❛ What would you do if it wasn’t a lie? ❜ a manicured nail scraped against the cover of the phone, a tight lipped smile flashed as she levelled her eyes on the other. ❛ Could you handle the truth? ❜
“If ‘m asking you, is because I could. And I can.” She raised a brow and then flicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. She knew that it could make her a little upset knowing the truth. Knowing that one of her friends could have been talking bad about her wasn’t really something she liked to know. But it was better to know that to be blind about it. “So are you going to tell me or nah?”
psevdonym answered:
Fluorescent lights, the light skimming over his skin (illuminating, creating almost a different world), and the words that sounded so out of place - surprising her, making her catch where his eyes seemed to gaze to - and she exhaled a laugh.
A minuscule laugh escaped her, but she was agreeing; ❛ Their fur creates the illusion of an aftermath of crying. They are soft-eyed creatures, so maybe that’s why they seem to have that… well, “look”. ❜
Suriel’s staring at the dog as if he was already making plans to kidnap it and keep it as its own. The poodle looked at him with its sad eyes and he wanted to believe that it was because the dog wanted him to take it home. He crouched and patted his knees, patiently waiting for it to get closer. Then his eyes wandered to her and again back to the dog. “Or maybe... maybe they look sad because they do not get enough love. Maybe if I had one, it would just constantly laugh.” It’s really just another excuse to keep the dog. The problem was -- it didn’t want to approach him. “What if this one was left all alone by his owners and now needs a new home? I mean, look, do you see its owners anywhere nearby?” He chewed on his lip. Sure, it was tied by its leash to the rail by the shop, but it didn’t have to mean anything. “We could take care of it.”
