*like a well-developed routine, the stranger collected the female's notes from her door, writing another response on a sticky note* "thank you for taking the time to snap a photo for me. I'm glad you liked my gift! I brought some grapes and apples for today. They're in season, and are good for your health too. Plus, they make for good pies. I also came to ask about what gifts you'd like to receive this year. Anything on your wishlist you'd like to share? -secret santa"
❝ Oh goodness, ❞ Shinhye gasp in surprise as soon as she reached her apartment. What she saw waiting for her was completely unexpected. The assortment of fruits had left her at a sudden loss for words. It was more than she could have asked for and she had to let her Secret Santa know that. Scribbling up a quick message on a post-it note, she relayed her gratitudinous thoughts
Dear Secret Santa,
Your generosity is far greater than I had expected. Honestly, you’ve gone above and beyond and to say thanks is the least I could do to express my sincerest gratitude. I cannot say that there is anything I would like to receive as you’ve given me more than enough.
Perhaps by Christmas day you may reveal yourself. I would like nothing more than to pay you back by treating you with good company and a freshly brewed cup of coffee?
*replaces the note on the female's doorstep with one of their own, a gift bag hanging off the handles of her door.* "hello, Shinhye. It's me again. Please accept this knit scarf. I wasn't aware what color you liked so I went with white. I hope you don't mind. I'd like to get to know you better, so why don't we start with basic stuff like... a. your favorite book? b. what does your perfect day look like and; c. if money was no object, what would you do all day? Keep warm! -santa
Ever since Shinhye has moved into Cheonguk Apartments, it had always been a pleasant surprise to come across a sticky note attached to her door. Even though she seldom interacts with the other tenants due to her busy schedule, it’s always nice to know that her neighbors are friendly by either leaving her a message on her door, in the main lobby, or even the laundry room. So when she noticed she had something left behind for her again she couldn’t help but smile.
❝ I wonder who it could be this time— my secret santa again, perhaps? ❞ she said mostly to herself. Before opening the gift bag that was hanging from the handle of her door, she quickly read the message that was left behind with it. Her smile grew wider with each pass word as her eyes skimmed the note. ❝ How very thoughtful, this secret santa of mine, ❞ she said in awe. Reaching into the bag she revealed the white knitted scarf and tried it on for size; a perfect fit.
Suddenly a thought came to mind on how to thank the mysterious sender. Typing her security pass code to unlock the door, she swiftly made her way inside of the studio apartment to put her belongings down. Reaching into her purse, she once again pulled out the same sticky note pad and pen to write down a message. Even though she was curious as to who might have sent her this thoughtful gift, rather than ask a million and one questions to figure out who they were, she figured she’d let them reveal themselves all in due time. After all, there was no need to spoil the fun out of the season’s festivities when she found this to be quite entertaining.
Dear Secret Santa,
I absolutely love the white knit scarf! It’ll definitely keep me warm whenever I go outside, so thank you very much for the gift! It was very thoughtful of you. To reply back your questions in previous message, the following are my answers:
My favorite books are The Notebook and Pride and Prejudice by. If you consider manga as books, which you should, my favorites are Fairy Tail and Fruits Basket.
My perfect day consist of me lounging around my apartment, eating an assortment of food and snacks while catching up on all of my korean dramas and shows.
If money was no object, I’m not sure what I would do all day. Since I don’t spend a lot as I’m on a tight budget, I’d probably treat my parents out to a fancy dinner.
Best wishes,Park Shinhye
P.S. I have attached a mini polaroid so you can see the scarf is a perfect fit!Thank you once again! ♡
*slides a note from under the female's apartment doors* "hello, lovely lady. how are you? I hope you're having an awesome day. attached to this note is a gift card from the coffee shop just down the block. treat yourself to something nice and stay warm~ -secret santa"
Just as Shinhye was about to head out to the supermarket to pick up some groceries she noticed a note sticking from underneath her door. ❝ Well this is an unexpected surprise… ❞ Curiously, she picked it up and read the message that was addressed to her. After reading the note, a playful smile crept onto her lips as she flipped it around to see who could have possibly sent her such a gift. ❝ My Secret Santa, hmm? ❞ she spoke out loud upon realizing who the sender was.
Naturally, the twenty-four year old placed the gift card to the coffee shop just down the block into her purse and pulled out a sticky note and pen. As a publicist and former journalist, it was good practice to have them on hand in case she ever needed to write something down. Quickly scribbling a a message of her own, she placed it on the outside of her door in case they were to visit again.
Dear Secret Santa,
Thank you kindly for the lovely treat! I’ll be sure to use it this coming Monday before I head to work. ^^ I hope that you are well and that you see this message. Be sure to bundle up when venturing outdoors— the weather has been getting colder with each passing day.

Dearest Thirteen Year old Shinhye,
For whatever the reason, I cannot for the life of me recall how things were when I was your age.. I must admit that worries me a little since that was nearly a decade ago... Has my memory declined since then? Dear god I hope not.
Regardless, I would presume that life back then as a 13 year old is nothing like how my life is right now. Oh, perhaps I should mention that today is July 26, 2O14 and before you say, it I already know what you are thinking. No, I am not that old and no, cutting your hair short will not be worth it since it will take forever for your hair to grow out..
I’m not exactly sure what I’m suppose to write about or how all of this works exactly, but I suppose I can tell you about how life is going for us when we’re twenty-four years old. It’s a little crazy to think about but you have a creative imagination so let me humor you for a bit, Shinhye.
After completing and graduating from Seoul Young-Pa Girls' High School, we end up getting into and attending Chung-Ang University. There we major in Media Journalism with a minor in Mass Communication. So if omma ask why do we keep writing nonsense in our journal, you can just laugh and tell her that it’ll be worth it in the end.
Anyway, after graduating from the university, we go into journalism working as a reporter with a well known newspaper company. We do that for a few years until you do some more freelance writing and eventually leave the press world and go into public relations.
Eventually you’ll become hired by And Entertainment and work as a publicist. You will also end up moving into a studio apartment (go figure) in Hongdae at a complex called Cheonguk Apartments. Let’s just say your life will be fun there.

I was born in the arms of imaginary friends. You think I’m pretty without any make-up on.Far away, I feel your beating heart. You sit there in your heartache,I like it, I want it.

I feel like a boat without a sailor,You don’t know me.I’ll be the lights and the soul of the party.I’m holdin’ on your rope,Cause I can’t live without Ya, oh oh oh.
