Does anybeing else get irked when someone says they’ve experienced a p-shift and then goes on to describe a phantom shift?
Tfym “I felt it,but it wasn’t actually there of course-” No,I’m sorry. You are describing a phantom shift. Yes,a physical shift is where your body undergoes genuine physical change. It’s NOT just a feeling of having the traits of your kintype.
I know that not all shifters can see the physical change happening (I have had such shifts myself) but there is still change,even if my eyes cannot perceive it sometimes for whatever reason.
But I’m afraid if I say something,even politely,I’ll be dogpiled so I just block them.
I never wanna invalidate another creature’s experience- I’m a firm believer in that the only one who can define your experience is yourself -but this just feels like watering down terms again.
