Just a little reminder that p-shifters, endos, tulpas, holotheres/kins, clinical zoan/lycanthropes, medians, endels, those with personality disorders, and those who are schizopsec, are all welcome on this blog, my side blogs, and any communities I run.
Thoughts on specific therians saying we’re human when we aren’t?
Yeah reality checking/invalidating nonhumans is such a lame thing to do. I really hate when people do this,especially as a being who identifies 100% as an animal. I’m completely coyote,not human or even human adjacent in any way.
Plus,it can be extremely harmful to delusion experiencing nonhumans to claim they are a human when they aren’t,and it can cause them to doubt their own reality. Delusional nonhumans deserve as much respect as everybeing else,and that includes respecting them when they tell you NOT to reality check them (no matter how much you may think you’re helping them,you’re not,I promise).
Also what some beings don’t know is that if you don’t involuntarily identify as an animal on at least some level,you are not a therian. Some therianthropes still identify partially (or even mostly) as human,but if you don’t identify as an animal even a little bit,that’s not therianthropy*,and they should look into the terms;
Otherpaw- someone who engages the in animalistic behaviors,wears gear,and/or does quads and vocals simply for fun.
Funlinker- someone who voluntarily identifies as a nonhuman animal (or other being,or fictional character,or object,or concept ) for fun.
Otherhearted- someone who identifies WITH their types instead of AS them. Can be voluntary or involuntary. Types can be called hearttypes or kithtypes.
^ Kith can be used the same way as Kin. For example,I am snow leopard hearted,I have a snow leopard kithtype,I kith snow leopards. I am StarrfleshHearted, I kith the concept of Starrflesh.
*Unless you experience heavy fluctuations in identity!! There are alterhumans whose level of identification can change on a day-to day basis and that’s completely valid. There’s actually a term for this I think,but I can’t remember it.
