i have noticed a pattern of some nonhumans/alterhumans pretending to be accepting and open minded while all the while keeping the same attitude of “but you know you’re not actually an animal though, right?” as antikin and ableists
like i swear too many of of them will say they support nonhumanity, they support nonhumans who aren’t human at all, they support physical nonhumans… but then they’ll turn around and go “but therians still know on some level they are human” or “but holotheres still recognize they have human bodies” or “but you can’t behave and act like an actual animal” or “but you can’t call yourself the same thing as the theriform animal because you’re actually human(-bodied, -socialized)”.
it’s all the same. “but you have to actually separate yourself from theriform animals still, right? right???? you know you’re not actually the same as an animal, right????? you know you’re human, right??”
pisses me off. why are we constantly trying to separate nonhumans from the animals they identify as. why are we constantly trying to drive a divide between them and their species identity. why are we constantly insisting they are different than “real” animals. it’s inherently anti-nonhuman to me, especially anti-physical nonhuman, and borderline ableist.
reminds me wayyy too much of transphobes who pretend to be trans allies whilst snidely going “but you still know your body is female, right? you still know you can’t change your biological sex even if you say your gender is different, right?” STFU!!!
believe nonhumans! respect their identities!
