There were very few people that Liquid let touch him without prior warning. There were significantly less that Liquid let touch him that he was instantly comfortable with. Mantis was, of course, one of those rare people. Perhaps the only one.

He sighed contentedly at the sensation of the psychic’s fingers in his hair, accompanied by the familiar presence that made it obvious who it was when he wasn’t looking at him. “Having fun there, Mantis?” he asked, as if he wasn’t enjoying it too.
