Maturing is understanding that Garmadon was struggling during his Sensei arc and he thought that he was doing his family a favor by sacrificing himself so they could live another day.

Being delusional means coming up with a batshit plot to make Garmadon live so he could continue his character development and give him the family that he always wanted.

Maturing means exploring Misako's character to understand her goals and being empathetic to a mother who at the end of the day was doing what she thought was best for her family.

Being a fanfic writer means coming up with ways to keep Misako relevant but while also making her deal with the consequences of her actions and having her atone for it.

Being obsessed with a character means having to pick their life with tweezers to see what makes them tick. To see how their trauma affects them and those around them. Lloyd's parents are far from perfect, but their efforts are often overshadowed by canon not giving a damn about them.

I believe in the Nightingales are found family + Aimsey & Guqqie. because the nightingales care so much about sunship like more than their own factions seem to care so Im taking it into my own hands

Graecie & Will -> Oldest Siblings, "Twins" in a way i suppose

Acho -> Second oldest

Apo -> Third Oldest

Ros -> Second Youngest

Michela -> Youngest

Aimsey & Guqqie -> Wine aunts in a funny way but also could be Older Cousin & Older Cousins Girlfriend if you look at it in that way.

Michela is reluctant to let herself be accepted as apart of this found family due to what happened in the "In Too Deep" lore. Blames herself heavily and doesnt think she belongs anywhere

The other nightingales are there to reassure her that shes apart of their family, and no matter what happens or what mistakes are made, that wont change because they care.

The Garmadon family going on a trip to the beach!

Featuring: Lloyd fistfighting a shark, Misako winning a sandcastle competition (and accidentally making a child cry), oh and Garmadon accidentally stumbles upon an ancient creature which ends with Lloyd almost getting killed ofc.

Also Wu is there but somehow vanishes for the entire day and returns to see a completely ransacked beach with the rest of the family just sitting by the ocean watching the sunset. (The creature is tied up by the car)

Garmadon: Where the hell were you??

Wu: *ominously* Don't worry about it.

The fun thing of making Garmadon live is to have him as clueless as the ninja when it comes to world destroying events and/or have him clueless to the drama around him.

During S5:

Garmadon: Who the hell are you?

Morro (currently possessing Lloyd): Uhm Morro? Y'know Wu's first pupil?

Garmadon:...

Garmadon: You died??

He turns to Wu who was quietly shifting away from him.

Garmadon: And when were you gonna tell me about this?

Wu:... Eventually

PSMP! Garmadon (aka a version where he survives s4) would totally hate Canon post-resurrected Garmadon so badly.

Like he'd throw hands with the guy because what do you mean you threw your son's through multiple walls? What do you mean you hurt his allies so you could hunt him down? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DISOWNED HIM?!?!

Meanwhile PSMP! Lloyd and Canon Lloyd would be standing behind them. Canon Lloyd wants the break the fight up but the other guy would be like 'no give him a minute'

AND ANOTHER THING

PSMP! Garmadon compared to Wu, is a whole lot more open with his secrets. He figures that if he educates his students of the things he learned he could help them avoid repeating the same mistakes. Something Wu doesn't really do huh

I would also like to think that due to him being a total dad, he'd sometimes slip into a fatherly mode and is also prone to share some casual moments with them (he adopted them damn it) he loves to tell stories of all the shenanigans he and Wu used to get to when they were young (Wu still tells them stories but Garmadon likes to tell the downright embarrassing ones). Garmadon would love to tell Nya and Kai how he and Wu used to be the wingmen in their parents relationship. Jay and Lloyd would get him to join them with video games, which became a problem when Garmadon incorporated their game into training in a not fun way. Garmadon would ask Cole how to do certain dances so he could woo Misako (it totally works btw). Sometimes he'd hangout with P.I.X.A.L. cuz she's the one who actually has the braincells in the monastery. He'd help Zane with the cooking and often helps him recreate ancient recipes that were lost to time (Garmadon has every recipe he learned written down somewhere).

AND ONE MORE THING

He and Mystaké has an established mother-son relationship. Little Garmadon used to go to Mystaké when he has his venom induced outbursts because he feels like she's the only who understands him.

They still maintain a strong relationship after all that time and sometimes he would invite her to train Lloyd with his Oni side (leading to this version of Lloyd to be very more adept to his supernatural sides)

Thinking about my PSMP AU again LMAOOO

After the whole drama with the Oni trilogy, Wu and Garmadon basically decide to take a vacation, just because it's been awhile since the brothers got to hangout what with Wu getting lost in the time stream and Garmadon nearly getting himself killed and all.

This is mostly inspired by that one mlp episode where Celestia and Luna went on vacation and had a couple disagreements...

I would also like to make their vacation a parallel to their journey in the books (back when they were teens and was looking for a cure for Garmadon). Maybe they get to meet past friends and enemies, puppet Wu comes back (?) generally just the brothers having a grand old time together.

And maybe even some issues may come up in their journey who knows?

Thinking about my Psmp au again (a world where Garmadon survives season 4)

I noticed that in many fics about Ninjago portrays Misako and Garmadon as terrible parents. Which is fair considering they either abandoned Lloyd or in Garmadon's case disowned him and tried to kill his own son.

And thus, with the power of imagination I wanted to create a world where Misako and Garmadon realizes that they basically fucked up and locked in on being the best parents they could be for Lloyd.

I made a whole summarization of how I'd improve Misako's character in this Au but that is for another day but basically—

In the end of season 4 both Garmadon and Misako realized the issues that run deep in their family dynamics and tries to fix that. Cue a series of montage where they did just that. And have a bunch of scenes where Lloyd almost dies and have the two of them freak out and either a. Is actively trying to protect him or b. Goes loose on the bad guys

It stems from the need of, even though Lloyd is fucked over by destiny multiple times, I still want him to have a family to fall back on when things get rough, parents included. Because honestly Misako and Garmadon needs to have the character development.

In canon, they either underutilized her or basically just makes her disappear from the narrative until she is needed again. Garmadon was in the step on the right direction, but was taken out too soon and all the goodness just got tossed out the trash when the SOG came along.

Garmadon deserves to be the father he wants to be and Misako deserves to learn what it's like to be in a family.

So tldr, Garmadon and Misako needs to lock tf in the parenting biz cuz Lloyd is their pride and joy and deserves to have great parents.
