I think religion is patriarchal for many reasons. Telling women to cover up while it's different for men. Saying men will have 72 virgins in paradise while women get their husbands. I mean come onnn Have you ever met a female prophet? Fuck ts bs.

I feel like religious people remind me of that one quote "To keep a prisoner from escaping, never let him know he's in prison in the first place" from Dostoevsky right.

I can go day and day on how even if god existed, I wouldn't worship him cause he's evil as shit. And lord have mercy the fear I hold that once day my family finds out I'm atheist. I mean they will KILL me. This is the type of shit Religion does to people.

I do admit, religion can help people. But its also very unreliable.

Almost all religions are patriarchal. To enslave women and degrade them. I feel like religion stripped women of their power and recognizing and gave it to men. I can admit I was a devout religious person, but months ago, I became atheist due to all the complications of religion. I mean the biggest question is why on earth would god allow such pain and suffering even tho he's supposed to be all loving?

I come from a very bad family, My life was a mess ever since I was born. And at some point for two years I used religion as a copying mechanism. To try and yk, Heal myself. I admit. It was great and I did heal myself somewhat, I even learnt morals and such on. But I cannot rely on religion alone as it contains many many MANY imperfections.

Every night I would beg god to have mercy on me. To lessen these tests, To.. Make my life somewhat better. But no, He didn't want that. Apparently tests create adaptibillity. But what Adaption does a child need?

In my opinion, God is not all loving at all. If he allowed such sickness, such as the black death or any natural pain, He is not all loving as he says he is. Cause no child or a single mother of 3 raising kids alone, Or a father with economical issues. Deserve it. No one deserves such pain. And If god exists he is completely evil.

People say, oh free will, but he knew the outcome right? Why would he still let pain walk on. I mean after all this mess I went thru, does he really think I care about some stupid paradise? I mean I give no shit about a place I'm gonna go to in 90 years. I want a better life now.
