Uh, I realize I miss updates, but really Sony? This week, those of us in the US were supposed to get the Cel-shaded action game(?) Malicious for free as part of the instant-game collection, but apparently the update was bungled. Maybe next week Sony? Until then, see you next tuesday?

PSN Maintenance Today

After showing up in the PlayStation Forums in Europe, Sony has confirmed that the PSN will be down for maintenance today in all territories for about 16 hours (11am EST to 3am EST the next morning). So find something else to do for the day. I got work so I'm not too concerned. Don't go crazy!

Try to get on PSN today?

Personally, I have no problem with it since it means they are working hard to keep everything running smoothly. So stop crying if you can't play online today. Either pick up a game that you haven't played the campaign in a while or go out and enjoy the weather (if it's nice where you are). Or do the homework that you keep saying "I'll get to it." Enjoy the day people!

PSN Down Again..Don't flip though. It's Maintenance

It seems the PSN is down again for the day. But it was scheduled to be down for the day for it's typical monthly maintenance, which is fine. I don't mind. As reported by IGN, it will be down from 8am to 9pm PST, so 11am to 12am EST. While it is out, you can't get on the Playstation Store, Playstation Home or manage your account. And more than likely you can't sign in to play any games, but some people get lucky.

Hopefully by now most of you people have gotten use to this and don't mind. If you're not, get over it. Sorry, but if not being able to get online and play for 1 day kills you and makes you flip, you have problems. There are plenty of other things to do, like either the single player campaign, or you know, actually have a friend come over to play. That's what we had to do before online existed, and I think it was more fun. Go outside and play if it's nice where you are, or enjoy the snow. Watch a movie or something. But you will survive. It's one day a month. It will be back tomorrow. Until then, enjoy your day people!

Playstation Network Scheduled Maintenance Today

Today the PSN seems it will be down from 8am to 10pm PST, which is 11am to 1am EST. That basically will kill an entire day of playing online. Sony has said that some "may be able to play online" during the downtime, but it will be very few people. So during this all access to the PSN site, store and gaming will be down and no new accounts can be made today.

It's kinda a bummer but what can you do? I don't mind them working on it. At least they tell us what they are doing and it is probably work to keep us secure and test out new things. It seems this is only about once a month so no problem.

If you're mad that it is down and seriously have a problem finding something else to do other than play online, try a single player for a change. Or go get a friend to play some co-op. Or even just go hang out doing something active if it is nice out wherever you are (it's 40 here so not happening). Work on some homework that might be due after Thanksgiving if you have any right now. It gives you more time to play during days off.
