This is something a bit different for me, not my usual style. But it’s an incredibly personal issue I’ve wanted to illustrate for some time. I’ve lived with psoriasis for the majority of my life, for as long as I can remember. I have memories of girls at school looking at me in fascinated horror or asking what was wrong with my skin with a disgusted grimace. It has taken me way too long in my nearly 30 years to embrace my patterned skin, and meet those glances with a smile and to educate anyone who may be curious. My leopard spots change constantly, sometimes they altogether vanish. Sometimes they cause me discomfort, and other times they just look vivid and bright but don’t sting.
