Sony e Valve non sono rimaste indietro con PS Portal e Steam Deck. La loro mission è rendere il gaming portatile più pratico, permettendoci di accedere alla nostra libreria di giochi mentre siamo in movimento. Ma quali sono le differenze tra queste due console portatili? Vediamolo insieme in questo articolo, dove vi presenteremo tutte le differenze tra la PS Portal e la Steam Deck. Portal ha il classico design della PS5.PS Portal VS Steam Deck: parliamonePotremo dire che sia come confrontare delle arance con le mele. Ovviamente sono entrambi dei dispositivi portatili, ma ci sono delle differenze. La Steam Deck è una console portatile/Mini PC gaming, mentre il PS Portal è un dispositivo per il gioco da remoto. In parole povere il dispositivo della Sony è per lo streaming della PS5, non esegue giochi in nativo. L'uno senza l'altra non "vivono". I giochi della PS5 vengono tradotti sul dispositivo portatile in maniera eccelsa.Invece cosa ci ha fatto storcere il naso? Purtroppo lo schermo LCD ci ha mostrato sin da subito i suoi limiti. La batteria è lenta a ricaricare, e ovviamente il dispositivo portatile è inutile se non possiedi la PS5. Particolare dei pulsanti della Steam Deck.Steam Deck: di cosa si tratta?Essenzialmente è un piccolo PC gaming portatile. Rispetto alla PC da gaming classico è decisamente più economico, ma risulta più costoso della PS Portal. Cosa ci permette di fare? Possiamo accedere alla nostra libreria Steam quando siamo in movimento, per divertirci durante un lungo e noioso viaggio in auto ad esempio. Come quando da bambini giocavamo con il Gameboy. Se adori la versatilità, le cose pratiche e la possibilità di personalizzare il tuo dispositivo, allora fa assolutamente al caso tuo.Cosa ci è piaciuto? Questo dispositivo è molto ben costruito, ha ottime prestazioni, la libreria di giochi è enorme, è un prodotto flessibile e innovativo.Invece cosa ci ha fatto storcere il naso? I tempi di caricamento, sono estenuanti da quanto sono lenti. La batteria dura decisamente poco! Spesso il software ha alcuni comportamenti strani. La Steam Deck è praticamente un Mini PC da gaming.PS Portal VS Steam Deck: parliamo di costiTra i due dispositivi c'è una notevole differenza di prezzo. La PS Portal ha un costo di circa 209 euro, mentre la Steam Deck costa circa 420 euro. Il dispositivo della Valve ha 256 GB di memoria. Considerando che è un dispositivo di streaming, trovo che Portal sia abbastanza costoso, nonostante tutto. Ovviamente, come abbiamo detto prima, per utilizzare PS Portal bisogna necessariamente avere una PS5. Steam Deck è più costoso, ma funziona benissimo da solo, è più potente e meno limitato nella scelta dei giochi. Lo Steam Deck è altamente personalizzabile.Aspetto e prestazioniNonostante siano entrambi dispositivi portatili, hanno aspetto e prestazioni differenti. PlayStation Portal è praticamente un controller DualSense con lo schermo. Ci sono alcune differenze sulla posizione di alcuni pulsanti, per maggiore comodità di uso, ma nel complesso ha un design che risulta molto familiare ai possessori della console next-gen. Avendo il DualSense integrato possiamo intuire che anche la Portal ha feedback tattile e grilletti adattivi . Oltre a queste caratteristiche, si connette a PlayStation Link per poter collegare un paio di cuffie Pulse Elite o agli auricolari Pulse Explore. Se non hai un dispositivo compatibile, puoi usare delle cuffie tramite il jack da 3,5 mm, ma non supporta alcun accessorio Bluetooth.Steam Deck è praticamente il fratellone della Switch, un tablet grande e nero dotato di display LCD da 7 pollici e tipici joystick, grilletti e pulsanti frontali di qualsiasi console portatile (forse ne possiede un po' di più della media). Ha anche due trackpad quadrati per avere maggiore controllo. Altamente versatile e personalizzabile, si può collegare ad un dock USB per utilizzare tastiera, mouse e monitor e usare Steam OS 3.0, una distribuzione Linux basata su Arch Linux, in modalità desktop. La nota positiva è che si possono installare anche altri software e sistemi operativi, come ad esempio Windows 11. Nonostante sia un dispositivo ingombrante, fornisce comunque un'ottima esperienza di utilizzo.Al contrario PS Portal è estremamente pesante e anche più grande di quanto tu possa immaginare (io continuo ad amare la PSP comunque).
