7th Generation Gaming (2005- Present) Sony Playstation 3 (Ps3)

The Playstation 3 is a game console for home entertainment which was produced by Sony Computer Entertainment and it is the third console from the Playstation Franchise. The Playstation 3 was released on 11th November 2006. The Slim Version was released in September 2009.There was also the Super Slim Version which was released late 2012. (Wikipedia, n.d.) Till now the Playstation 3 has sold over 84.6 million units(as of January 2015). There are five generations of the Sony Playstation 3. There were models which included 20 GB ,40 GB, 60 GB , 80 GB , 160GB. Then there is the 120 GB Slim, 250GB Slim, 160GB Slim ,320 GB Slim. Then there is the 12 GB Super Slim , 250GB Super Slim and the 500 GB Super Slim. The 20GB version was sold for the price of $499.99.This console competes with the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 which is produced by Microsoft. The Playstation 3 was the very first console that used the Blu-ray Disc and it also supports Original Playstation 1 games. This console has many interesting features such as the ability to play online using the Playstation Network (PSN) it is also able to be connected with the Playstation Portable (PSP) and the Playstation Vita (PS Vita). The top selling Playstation 3 game is Grand Theft Auto 5 which sold over 17 million copies. This console was succeeded with the Sony Playstation 4. The Playstation 3 used the DualShock 3 as its controller. (Wikipedia, n.d.)

In my opinion one of the best feature in this console is that it included online gaming. It is much more fun playing "Fifa" online rather than playing alone at home or have to wait till friends come over. It is also fun to play online because one can play many games together like "GTA" and "Call of Duty". One can also compare the stats with other friends. The graphics are also very realistic and that kind of makes me attracted even more to this console.
