The single most infuriating thing that appeared in the last few years was the trend of setting grocery stores up in a way that makes it pretty much impossible to leave them without

a) buying something

or

b) inconveniencing the already overworked and understaffed employees

They try to frame it as a natural consequence of self checkouts but you definitely could do one without the other. Some stores do and they are doing just fine

The best thing about having a blu ray/ dvd player so far was the discovery that my beloved dvd set of Lord of The Rings Extended Editions that my sister bought 19 years ago is actually not on its last legs. It's just my pc's optical drive that has a problem with playing them. It was my first contact with the trilogy back when I was 4-5 and I watched the movies from these discs hundreds of times if not more by now

When I'm bored I sometimes go through the websites of local dog shelters and save the tabs of the ones I'd love to adopt if I had the means for it. The best thing is when I go back through them and find out that they got adopted by someone. Anyway here are the most gorgeous ones:
