A prayer to Psyche
Written by yours truly
I sing of Psyche, beauty above all others, I ask of thy heavenly touch upon my spirit, to fly with scaled wings through all adversaries.
O golden-veiled goddess, risen through the worlds to wed in admirable determinations. I ask thee, mother of being, bee-bearer, to protect my soal in your honourable name, to heal my broken spirit with your honey-sweet touch.
O lovely-tressed wife, beloved of lovely Eros, the first to admire and desire thee wholly, who forsook you when you did not deserve, who loved and wed you as your final lover, the father of your Devine child, Hedone - the sovereign of carnal delights.
O rose-armed grace, who hunted through the earth and the underworld, subjected to arduous tasks and prevailed, whose beauty was so daughters after her own sisters were undeservedly cruel.
Psyche, sweet breath of the soul, master of transformation, expert of perseverance, wisest of patience and true love.
Psyche, bring forth into my soul passion, devotion, the loyalty and commitment as Eros did to you, and you did to Eros.
Winged goddesss, I praise you.
