Idk who needs to hear this, but the gods do not give a FUCK about race. Race is a human made social construct. Being white does not denote any special aspect of your dna, or your intelligence, or your favor with Olympus.

What skin color they are depicted as, where you are from, what color your skin is, it means nothing to them, because they are not from our society. The ancient Greeks did not consider themselves white, & were not considered white by others. You will not get favor with the gods by being racist.

Generative AI is NOT Worship

I saw a post about this but it was written by a fucking "radfem" FART, and I don't want to give that POS the time of day. So I'm going to make my own.

Generative AI does NOT please the gods. If you make one of those devotional digital offerings and you use AI to do it, you're spitting in the face of the gods. They do not accept it.

Generative AI steals from actual artists (and I'm saying this as a devotee to a god of thieves), it scrapes protected data from all corners of the web. It permanently damages the connections in the brain for recall, creativity, and cognitive processing. And it poisons and harms the very earth we are supposed to honour.

It doesn't matter if the art you create yourself is "good" by some sort of scholarly pseudo-objective standard or not. It is good simply for the fact that you made it yourself out of the love and honour of the gods. It could be a stick figure with stickers all around it, but the fact that YOU made it - not prompted some AI slop - means that it is worthy in the eyes of the gods as a good offering.

You should put your energy, your feelings, your mind into your offerings. Something Generative AI can NEVER do.

have not been catholic in a hot minute but i'm legitimately sad to see francis go. he was a beacon of hope and kindness in a church i have known my entire life as a hateful, unkind place. i get that conclave is still very popular but please keep in mind as you make your 2 con 2 clave posts that the catholic church still holds an incredible amount of power and the chances of another pope as liberally-minded as francis being elected this time are incredibly slim. we can only hope that whoever is chosen is willing to wield that authority in the name of the charity and compassion the church so claims as its mission

Scents/flavours associated with Aphrodite 💕🌸

Incense-wise;

You may be wondering, ‘What incense should I get for Aphrodite?” Well, to list a few, let’s start with cinnamon, vanilla, anything floral! As well stuff like apple, myrtle, and rose scented ones 🌸

Candle-wise

You can take the stuff I’ve already said into consideration ! i recommend floral — romantic scents. Ones of flowers like magnolia, roses, daisies, or take something sweet like apples, or rasberries. For example, I own one which smells of orange fruit, patchouli, and white flowers. For candles used in spells like tea candles, either white for purity or floral, sweet smelling of fruit.

Perfume-Wise

Personally, I love to include perfumes in my practice. I truly truly recommend one’s smelling sweet, like La Rive’s her choice! And, you can either go with a strong smelling one, to really show off your presence, or something soft, light, to attract the souls that will resonate with you. but, you do not have to always follow a guide, or spend hours stressing yourself about if she’ll like the scent — she will! Go with your intuition. But, if I must, scents of peonies, harmony, and love with be your best bet 🌷

i don't really interact much with paganblr, but I am 1000% certain of this: if you use an ai art generator to make so-called devotional art out of computer slop--- a computer which cannot think, cannot feel, certainly cannot worship--- furthermore slop which poisons and pollutes the very Earth that all pagans should hold dear--- if you use an ai art generator for devotional art, you are actually insulting the gods, the Earth, and all the ancestors

in short: pick up a fucking pencil and draw stuff yourself, the meanest and sloppiest stick figure surrounded by cartoon flowers is superior to any garbage that a machine spits out

Anyways, for the people who need it;

The Gods aren’t mad at you. They don’t hate you. They’re not punishing you. They will not do any of those things for nearly any reason. If you’ve not murdered someone, or done something along those lines, you’re safe.

If you’re having anxiety surrounding it I would take a step back to breathe. The Gods will understand. Remember mundane over magic - I know it can be anxiety inducing when something appears off, but I promise the Gods aren’t mad.

If you’re hearing voices, like I did, that claim to be the Gods and are commanding, persecutory, distressing, or stressful take a deep breath. You’re going to be alright. The Gods aren’t mad at you. You’re not a bad person. If you can, make an appointment with a psychiatrist. You will get through this.

Zeus has a lot of epithets.

Most of them about power, law, storms, kingship. Things you’d expect from the king of the gods.

But Zeus-Lekheatês stops me in my tracks. It’s one of the most unexpectedly tender epithets he has.

The name Lekheatês comes from lekheion, which refers to the bed where a woman would give birth. So Zeus-Lekheatês is, in essence, Zeus as the god of childbirth. The god who protects women during labor. Which, if you really think about it, is wildly fascinating because it’s so unlike the usual way Zeus is framed.

Birth was dangerous in the ancient world. No epidurals, no modern medicine. Just blood, pain, and the gods’ mercy. A mother could die. The baby could die. It was a moment of pure vulnerability, teetering on the edge between life and death. And here’s Zeus, not just presiding over grand cosmic fates or battles or oaths, but over this. Over the most raw, intimate struggle of all. Over the act of bringing life into the world.

And the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Zeus is, above all else, the god of balance. The one who maintains order, who ensures the cosmos doesn’t spiral into chaos. And what is birth if not the ultimate balance between life and death? A single moment where fate could tip either way? Zeus doesn’t just decide who wins wars, he decides who lives, and that includes the smallest, most fragile of beginnings. It’s an aspect of him that feels strangely human, almost gentle. It’s not the Zeus of the thunderbolts or the one swearing unbreakable oaths on the Styx. It’s Zeus as a guardian. A protector.

And if that doesn’t change how you see him, even just a little, I don’t know what will.
