I think y'all are forgetting about Shawn's choice of seat in that diner when he first met Juliet. He chose a seat a cop would choose for a sting. He chose a place with good vantage.

My first fact, there will be many more to come 😁.
Shawn canonically visits santa barbara a few times in his ten years away, he has gotten a few jobs there, usually only lasting a few days I think, & he stole a jacket from Gus. He had not settled again, but he did return every now & then.
Now I want a fanfic of what happened in those few times he went back.
Shawn made a toaster alarm clock in grade 3 that woke up his dad by throwing waffles in his face.
Someone tell me:
HOW am I supposed to reconcile the contradicting statements; that Shawn stole a red car from a girl's neighbour to impress her, & that Shawn stole the driver's training car from high school?
