ITOME: “Come to the annex later, princess. It’s the perfect place for a secret talk.”

Just as he said, I wandered through the vast grounds in search of Itome. He would vanish from sight every now and then. I had no idea what he was doing, but I didn’t particularly care.

He was so kind. He subtly shielded me from the cruel twins and from Yakumo. He never did anything unpleasant. He gave me sweets, and unlike the others, he seemed used to people—I could even chat idly with him. More than anyone, he felt human, easy to talk to, and thanks to him, my nerves had begun to ease.

And on top of that, he promised me something—that he would secretly send me home.

I wanted to go home. So I needed to plot with him in secret. The thought of finally returning made my steps light.

You: “Still… this place is huge…”

But I had no idea where the annex was. As I stood there at a loss, I spotted a young man in a butler’s uniform, gathering fallen leaves. …Another person? Someone other than them?

You: “Excuse me, um…”

???: “Wha—Aaaahhh!?”

The moment I called out, he flinched violently, crumpling to the ground. His face, lifted to mine, was twisted with sheer terror.

You: “I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to startle you!”

???: “Ah… um… is there something you need, Miss…?”

You: “Actually, I wanted to ask… could you tell me where the annex is? Itome said…”

The instant I spoke Itome’s name, his expression collapsed into utter despair, as though the world itself had ended.

???: “M-my Miss… h-have I done something wrong? If I’ve offended in any way, I beg your forgiveness…!”

You: “No, that’s not it! Really—it’s just, he called me, so…”

Flustered, I hurried to deny his misunderstanding. Relief flickered in his eyes for a heartbeat—only to be replaced again with dread.

???: “He… called you? You’re… going to him? Aren’t you afraid?”

You: “Afraid? No… why would I be?”

???: “…! Please… I beg of you, say nothing of this conversation to Sir Itome. If he learns I spoke with you without permission, I… I’ll…”

You: “O-okay… but why are you so terrified? Itome’s kind…”

???: “‘Kind’…?”

At that word, his eyes widened in shock. He swallowed hard, his gaze trembling with unease. Then, in a trembling voice, he asked:

???: “Forgive me, Miss… but… who exactly do you think you’re talking about…?”

…Our conversation was veering off course. To him, Itome was… someone frightening?

You: “Itome. Who else? Are you okay? Did he do something to you?”

???: “Sir Itome… kind? To you? Impossible… no, and yet…”

You: “He’s never done anything to me. Honestly, the twins are way scarier.”

???: “I… can’t even imagine that. Compared to Sir Itome, the twins are far more… tolerable. If he’s taken a liking to you… that’s incredibly dangerous. I can only pray… that his ‘kindness’ lasts.”

His words carried a chilling weight, sending a shiver down my spine. I wanted to ask what he meant—but I was afraid to hear the answer.

In the end, wasn’t I the one who knew nothing about him? And right before me stood someone who seemed utterly consumed by fear of Itome.

Seeing me falter, the butler gasped, shaking his head frantically.

???: “Ah—forget what I said! Forgive me, Miss! Please… disregard everything. Allow me to show you the way.”

He forced the conversation closed, rising to his feet. But the fear in his eyes as he glanced back burned itself into my mind. And suddenly… I was afraid to meet Itome at all.

Can I really trust the one I’m about to see?

With unease clawing at my heart, I stepped toward the place where he awaited me—

糸女：「後で別館へおいで。ひいさん。 秘密の話をするには最高の場所だよ。」

ーー彼の言葉通り、 私は糸女を探して広い敷地をさまよい中。 彼は時折、姿を消します。 何をしているのか分かりませんでしたが、特に気にも留めませんでした。

彼はとても優しいです。

冷酷な双子や八雲から、さりげなく私を守ってくれたり。

嫌なことは一度もされていません。

お菓子をくれたし、他のエイリアンとは違って人に慣れているようで、

気楽に雑談もできました。

誰よりも人間らしく、話しやすく、おかげで

緊張もほぐれてきました。

おまけに、彼は約束してくれたんです！

やつらには内緒で、こっそり家まで送ってくれる、と。

家に、帰りたいです。

ううん！遂に帰れるのです！

だから、秘密裏に彼と計画を練らなければ…！気づかれたら、きっと邪魔建てされるに違いない。

やっと帰れると思うと、足取りも軽くなります。

あなた：「それにしても…ここは広いな…」

かなり歩いてきたはずですが、別館がどこにあるのかさっぱり分かりません。 途方に暮れて立ち尽くしていると、執事の制服を着た青年が掃き掃除をしているのがみえました。

…誰かいる？彼らとは違う…エイリアン…？

あなた：「あの…すみません…」

???：「ひゃあああああああああああああああああ！？」

私が声をかけた途端、彼は激しく驚き、地面にへたり込んでしまいました。 私の方を見上げた彼の顔は、恐怖に慄いています。

あなた：「あ、ごめんなさい！驚かせるつもりじゃなかったのに！」

???：「あ…あの…何か御用ですか？」

あなた：「えっと…別館の場所を教えていただけませんか？ 糸女がそこで…」

糸女の名前を口にした途端、 彼の表情はまるで世界が終わってしまったかのような、絶望的な表情に変わりました。

???：「お嬢様…ぼ、僕、何か悪いことをしましたか…？ もし粗相をしてしまったのならば、どうか、どうかお許しください…！」

あなた：「いえ、違います！ 私が彼に呼ばれてるだけなので…」

慌てて誤解を解こうとしました。 彼の目に一瞬安堵の色が浮かびましたが、 すぐにまた眉を下げます。

???：「糸女様から…お呼び出しがあったのですか…？ お嬢様は…い、糸女様のところに行くのですか…？ご自分…で… 怖くなったりは、しないのですか…？」

あなた：「怖い？ いいえ… どうして怖がるの？」

???：「…！お願いです…お願いです。 僕とあなたが話していたこと、糸女様には絶対言わないでください！！ もし僕があなたに無断で話したと知ったら、僕は…僕は…」

あなた：「う、うん。わかった…でも、どうしてそんなに怯えているの？ 糸女はその、優しいよ…？」

???：「”優しい”…？」

その言葉に、彼は驚きで目を見開きました。 彼は大きく唾を飲み込み、不安に震える視線でじっと私を見つめてきました。

そして、震える口を開きます。

???：「申し訳ありません、お嬢様… お嬢様が先ほどから申されているその方は…一体誰のことをおっしゃっているのですか…？」　

…話が全くかみ合いません。 彼にとって、糸女は…よっぽど恐ろしい存在なのでしょうか？

あなた：「糸女だよ。他に誰が？ねえ、大丈夫？彼に何か、されたの？」

???：「糸女様…優しい？あなたに？ ありえない…まさか、‥‥…なのに…」

あなた：「私には何もされたことがありません。正直、双子の方がずっと怖いよ。」

そういうと、彼は驚いた表情をしました。

???：「そう、なんですか…。僕には…想像もつきません。 糸女様に比べれば、双子の坊ちゃま達の方がずっと…”我慢”できるんです。 もしも彼があなたに好意を抱いているとしたら…それは非常に危険だとおもいます。 僕はただ…彼の『優しさ』が永遠に続くことを祈るしかありません。」

彼の言葉は冷たく重く、思わず背筋に冷たいものが走りました。 どういう意味なのか聞きたい気持ちもありましたが、答えを聞いてしまうのがずっと怖いのです。

結局、彼のことを何も知らなかったのは私なのでしょうか？ 彼の糸女に対する恐怖心は、嘘には全く見えませんでした。

私が動揺しているのに執事は気づくと、必死に首を振りました。

???: 「ああ、なんでもありません！お許しください、お嬢様！ お願いです…今話したことは、何もかも忘れてください。

別館には僕が道案内をさせていただきます。」

彼は無理やり会話を終わらせ、立ち上がりました。 しかし、振り返った彼の目に宿る恐怖が、私の脳裏に焼き付いて離れません。

途端に…糸目と会うのが怖くなってきました。

これから会う彼を、本当に信頼できるの…？

不安が胸を締め付けながら、 私は彼が待つ場所へと足を踏み入れました――

今回、糸女ルートで重要な人物となる執事の「虫太郎」について簡単に説明します！

彼は八雲からの命令で掃除洗濯など雑務全般を任されています。

糸女からは、料理担当にまで抜擢されています…。

かなりのワンオペ限界社畜です！😂笑

実はこのコンセプトのシリーズ作品を作る際、彼の初期案から派生しました。

最初にコンセプトにそった絵を描こう…ってなったときに、蜘蛛の男の子が蝶みたいに可憐な人間のお姉さんに翻弄されていくという、

ピュアラブストーリーみたいなのええな…と思ったのがきっかけです。

個人的にこういうキャラに大変萌えるので楽しそうだとおもってたのですが、絵の勉強のために彼から主人公をヒロインに変更し、多種多様な男性キャラに変えて作り変えてみました。

なので地味に思い入れのあるモブキャラです。

彼には絶望顔が似合うので、糸女様に思いっきり絶望させられてほしいです。

いつかこの子のストーリーもつくりたいなあ…

This time, let me briefly introduce "the bug" a butler who plays an important role in Itome’s route!

He’s in charge of all kinds of chores such as cleaning and laundry, under Yakumo’s orders.

On top of that, Itome has even assigned him to handle cooking…

He’s basically a severely overworked one-man army! 😂 lol

Actually, when I first came up with the concept for this series, it all branched out from his original draft.

When I thought, “Let’s draw something that fits the concept first…” I imagined a pure love story about a spider boy being captivated and toyed with by a graceful, butterfly-like human woman. That was the starting point.

Since I personally adore characters like him, I thought it would be fun. But for the sake of studying illustration, I switched the protagonist to a heroine instead, and rebuilt the idea with a variety of male characters.

So, he’s a “mob character” I actually have a quiet attachment to.

A despair-stricken face suits him perfectly, so I really want Lord Itome to drive him into utter despair.

Someday, I’d love to create a full story just for this boy…

That INFP vibe of his is just irresistible…ehehe

自殺行為に関与する存在にヒロインが気がつくことから、現実が狂っていきます。

脚本家の意図なのでしょう、台詞は意図的に説明を避け、構図とカット割りで物語が進行していきます。

何かの力が、映画を支配していきます。

物語に引き込まれます、大竹しのぶが演じる、タテモトマサコが、人の形をした怪物と化します。

『本当にあった怖い話』のような心霊系は別として、実写のテレビムービーで、これほど先鋭的なホラーが作られることは稀ではないでしょうか？

高橋洋　黒沢清系の作品だと思います。

抑制された台詞からの、大竹しのぶの長台詞。

しかもそのことが、物語の鍵であるという構成も、見事としか言いようがなく、完璧と言って良いでしょう。

『サイコ』の二重のイメージを取り入れているような感じは、脚本家なのか、監督なのか。

これは、古典となる作品です。
