Dark romance really has me out here ruined beyond repair. Like… where exactly am I supposed to find a man who’s got that Zade Meadows energy, obsessive, dangerous, morally black, would burn cities to the ground for me while quoting poetry and gripping my chin like I’m the only thing that matters? Where’s my broken, unhinged, violent psycho who’s soft only for me and keeps everyone else at gunpoint?
Real life men out here saying ‘wyd’ and ‘lol’… meanwhile I’m craving the kind of love that’s stalking-me-outside-my-window, choke-me-with-your-devotion, pray-to-me-like-a-god type of obsession.
Haunting Adeline? That Sik Luv? Yeah, thanks for that. Standards? Shattered. Reality? Boring. Fictional psychos? Have my soul, my body, my last shred of sanity.🙈😂

“This is the fourth one that has failed.” Johnny would tell with huge amount of frustration running in the voice, he was in a dark hallway of the asylum, standing next to doctor Moon Taeil, the director of the building.
Doctor Moon Taeil is one of the greatest doctors for the strictly insane and highly dangerous criminals and the mentally ill. He’s never failed to asses anyone, until this tricky guy appears.
Mark lee. A leader of the largest evil running mafia, a cruel ruthless killer— his personality is cold as much as his appearance, his pale skin is as equivalent to the snow. The numb lifeless eyes are a dead corpse. You might be asking, why is Mark Lee so special?
Well, Taeil has no idea why either, in his eyes Mark is an alien. He can’t understand him and his behaviour patterns, they are unpredictable, unstable, impulsive even. They are dangerous to society.
Not only that, he’s tried hiring multiple psychiatrists in the asylum, even his own workers too— they all failed to interrogate him. No one can get past the rock hard steal barrier he has.
Most of the females fall in love with Mark, obsessively in love. Johnny couldn’t believe it either, but all the women they have hired have came out not themselves.
Taeil stubbornly puts down his glasses, speaking. “Get the last one in, we have to keep trying.” Johnny was about to protest, the women won’t work. But Taeil had a feeling this doctor he’s about to send in will be different.
“Hyung I personally think we shouldn’t.” Johnny voices forward, Taeil glances back at Johnny sternly. “Send her in. I feel like she will be different.”
Who could argue with the older man, Johnny didn’t bother speaking out anymore. The American-Korean sighs once he’s left the dark hallway, heading down the elevator to the waiting reception where all the special guests are awaiting for many things.
Some are waiting for day visits, some are here for interviews, and then there are special visitors who are doctors from other countries and towns.
On the last list there is one doctor who comes from China however moved to South Korea last year. Huang Mei.
What makes her special is that she not only majors in psychology, she has multiple experiences of childcare knowledge along with sociology; the woman is a built Wikipedia if anything to them. Mei has large knowledge with forensic science and mathematics too.
A reasonably highly educated woman. Johnny arrives at the area as he calls out. “Huang Mei?” He saw a young female stand up approaching forward relaxed manner. “Hello, that would be me.” Mei spoke with a short smile, bowing.
Johnny gave a confident smile as he shook her hand. “Hello, my name is Johnny. I’m Moon Taeil’s assistant.”
The two introduced each other on the way as they get in the elevator, the asylum is very large, more bigger than Mei thought. It has about six floors.
Johnny turns his body towards Mei in the elevator. “Your Korean is really good by the way.” He saw the doctor look up at him because she’s more short, she gave a surprised expression as her eyebrows raise up. “Oh thank you.” Mei replied.
“How long have you studied for?” Johnny really wanted to know, especially because he himself speaks Korean as his second language. Mei on the other hand was quite different. “I’ve been learning ever since I was seven. We had Korean lessons in school.” Mei explains.
He gawks open at the idea of people that young learning the language. “Wow! So you’re pretty much fluent in the language at this point.” Johnny loudly told.
The elevator opens with a beeping sound indicating they arrived at the fourth floor. Johnny’s hands reach straight forward motioning Mei. “Ladies first.” Johnny said with a flirty smile he always gives to everyone. The girl would step out first as she awaits for Johnny, the man walking ahead.
On the way, Mei felt the visible silence of the asylum. Each room they passed was eerily creepy and quiet, Johnny felt the need to speak out to break the awkwardness, and for his worry. Mei seemed like a lovely girl, he wouldn’t want to leave her hanging without a warning about who she’s about to encounter the most dangerous wanted man in the world.
“Miss Mei, I have something to say to you.” Johnny strongly states stopping in front of the large door Mei will take to finally meet him. He stops the woman in her tracks, turning back to Johnny with curious eyes and a confused blank lips pointing to him. “Yes, what is it Mr Johnny?” Mei formally repeats.
“I hope you know you’re meeting the most dangerous man, Mei. You should be careful for your own well-being. All the other doctors have failed so far and.. left completely different from before.” Johnny inputs with half worry half disgusted, Mei raises her eyebrows wondering what he means by ‘completely different from before.’
Mei’s voice implies back with curiosity. “What do you mean by that?” Johnny stands still, the silence loud.
“All the female doctors fell in love with him. He’s highly manipulative, Mei. Remember to be careful, that’s all I’m saying.” Johnny advised. Mei gives a professional smile, though in her head she told herself ‘fall in love at first glance is a bit exaggerating, don’t you think?’
“Thank you for your concern Mr Johnny, I’ll keep that as a reminder.” With those final words, the door creeks open as Mei walks inside. She were met with the director much shorter than Johnny, the man turns to Mei with a serious eye-look, reaching his hand forward for the handshake. Mei entitles forward her hand, shaking it lightly. “Hello mr Moon.”
Taeil gave a soft nod. “Hello Miss Huang, he’s waiting inside.”
Mei gave a nod grabbing out the notepad attached to an ink pen already, the woman wearing a white doctors coat with half black glasses on her head. With that, she enters the cold room.
Mei saw the chains in the room hanging on the ground, attaching to the figure hanging the head low as his body scrunched down unable to see the face fully. There was a dark aura presence of the unknown, Mei calmly sat down in front of the man despite not able to see his face, crossing the legs under the table as the metallic table would make a clunk once the notepad were placed down.
A soft yet stern voice spoke out to his ears causing them to perk up. “Hello I am Huang Mei, what’s your name?”
It’s better to start slow, Mei knew that people are more willing to speak if you introduce yourself fully without fear as well as asking them to introduce.
The man lifts his body to lean on the chair the chains shaking around with a rattling sound. Mei was met with a deadpanned expression, eyebrows were straight as well as his eyes were half closed with boredom. The lips weren’t moving either, though he was observing Mei distinctly when she saw the small subtle motions with his pupils moving about.
Mei softly smiles leaning forward. “Won’t you introduce yourself, it’s rude not to.”
“I’m sure you know who i am already.” The deadly man spoke without care, staying still like a statue. “I’m on the news everyday.” He points out. He wasn’t falling for such friendly terms.
The doctor was different and Mark felt it, she was putting up a friendly demure but something felt different about her and he couldn’t tell what yet. Mei hums, “So? I don’t care what the media says. I wish to hear it from the infamous man himself.” Mei strongly pushes the emphasis. Mark smirks at the words, first time hearing such terms spoken to him.
He felt a sudden boost of ego from it. “Mark Lee.” The man replied. “Nice to meet you Mark Lee.” Mei trails pulling up a blank paper in the notes as her ink pen lifts forward, she looks up at the man with a soft gaze.
“Let’s get to know each other, what do you say?” Mei trails like a teacher teaching a child. “I’m very interested in you, Mark.” Mei said.
Mark eyes the woman with an eyebrow raised up. “What does a doctor like you want to know?”
Mei hums. “Everything, isn’t that what you do if you want to become friends?” The woman was right, Mark scoffing. “You don’t want friendship, you want information like every other doctor.” He sneers.
She hums. “Okay, I see.” Mei turns around looking at the door as she saw the large window with Moon Taeil observing the two. “How would you like me to prove to you that I’m not doing this for information?” Mei turns to Mark daringly, he nods with confidence wondering what the woman was going to do.
“How about you strip your shirt off, throw the notepad away. You could easily have a voice recorder or something on you.” Mark states sternly, watching menacingly.
Mei stood up from the chair as she took the notepad away opening the door as she threw it on the ground along with the pen. She then threw away the doctors coat too. Mei was now in a shirt and jeans, but not for long. Mark’s eyes glued on the doctor who stripped the shirt off revealing the pale skin with a front black lace bra, walking back to the desk with arms leaning on it.
Taeil looks confused and flustered by Huang Mei’s decisions, though he caught on slightly. She’s doing what Mark says to lower his guard down. He looks away sighing, “I hired a crazy woman, great.” Taeil mutters under the breath.
“See? Didn’t I say I’m doing this because I’m interested in you?” Mei voice encourages forward, Mark leaning forward with his face closer. Now he was intrigued.
“You’re a weird one.” Mark comments.
“I’m here to help you.” Mei emphasises with a point. “I wish to help you, Mark. I know you’re misunderstood.” Mei continues, Mark scoffing out a minor laugh. “Help me? Sweetheart, I cannot be helped.”
Mei shakes her head forward. “How do you know that. You never know unless you don’t accept the help.” There was a silence between them where Mark was replaying her words— Mei spoke interrupting his thoughts. “we leave today’s session here. If you ask Doctor Moon for me I’ll come back but that’s your choice.”
Mei stood up leaving the isolated square room. Mark left pondering in the silence as he looks down at his hands.
She was fun and she didn’t fall for his charm.
Mei came outside the room with her bra exposed, she leans down slipping back on the shirt signing. Mr Moon coming forward as he lifts the notepad and pen for Mei, giving it to her.
She looks up murmuring ‘thank you sir.’
Taeil sighs forward. “What you did right now Miss Huang was crazy and inappropriate.” He stated, Mei stiffening up at the incoming complaint.
“But you ended up coming out normal, you’re hired.“ Taeil mentions, he can let a crazy tactic slide once in a while. Mei smiles ear to ear, “thank you sir!”
Taeil rolls his eyes at the cheerful chant. “Next time don’t strip— please, this isn’t a strip club.” He told walking away, Mei nodding as she bows.
“I’ll try my best!” Mei shouts. She has the job! That’s all that matters.
