Hello, I absolutely love snakes and have always wanted one but alas the place I stay won't allow it. I was wondering what it's like to own one? The pride and joy one feels from caring for such a gorgeous creature.
Well, it has its less-than-glamorous moments. I mean, I come home and spot clean and some of the most common things you'll hear me (and probably other snake owners) say is something along the lines of"Did you have to poop ON TOP of your hide""why did you pee now i JUST CLEANED THAT.""nononononO DON'T TIP THE BOWL I-- goddamnit""alright which one of you motherfrickers took a dump i can smell it"But really it's pretty rewarding. Granted, most of the time you have this lump of skin and snoot and big eyeballs lounging around in their nice warm heat, but I find it to be extremely rewarding at times. Like when you have a problem feeder that you manage to get on a regular feeding schedule, or even when you get this little tiny baby and it grows into a big fat gorgeous adult. It's one of those things where most people find a snake hissing to be terrifying, but 99% of reptile people think that it's friggin adorable when they've got this riled up noodle sausage tube with teeth giving them an attitude. all in all 10/10 would recommend
