But I'm only answering her questions because I'm too lazy to make up new ones. xD
1. If you were, by some force of nature no one can ever comprehend, elected president/leader/czar/king/queen whatever of your country, what would be one thing you would change and why?
I'd probably get rid of our bipartisan system so everyone would vote by person rather than by party, which is one of the things I hate the most about American politics. And then I'd immediately hold an election because I obviously shouldn't be in any position of power. xD
2. If you were abducted along with someone you loved and 3 strangers that you have never seen nor spoken to before this event, yet have come to learn over a period of time being captured that they all have families, jobs, and belong to decent organizations, when your captor gives you the ultimatum that in order to live you either have to kill yourself, the person you love, or the 3 strangers, which would you choose?
Depends on my state of mind at the time I suppose. I lean toward killing myself so everyone else could live, but if I had a particularly strong desire to live I'd kill the strangers. I don't think there's any scenario where I would be able to kill the person I love.
3. Serious questions aside, if you could have only ONE super power, what would it be?
Invisibility. Imagine all the places I could sneak into...
4. If you were to invent a time machine and theoretically find out that you could change only ONE thing without destroying your future irreparably, what would you change about your past and why?
I'd...invent the time machine sooner? And then cash in on my invention and be richer for a longer period of time.
5. If you could change places with someone from another race, culture, or religious background which would you trade places with and why?
Permanently? I'd totally go British. Temporarily? Being Japanese would be fun.
6. If you could re-write the ending to one of your favorite books, which book would it be and how would you change the ending? (ONLY the end, not anything in the main plot leading up to the end.)
I think this is a toss-up between the epilogue of the Harry Potter series and the epilogue of Mockingjay. Both left me kinda disappointed, mostly in the way they were written, although I think my disappointment in the HP epilogue just stemmed from the fact that the series was over. So, Mockingjay then, and HELLO SPOILERS: aside from the lack of detail (I don't think the kids even had names), I was really uncomfortable with the idea that Katniss would move back to a bombed-out and desolate District 12, where pretty much everyone she'd ever known had died, and proceed to have two kids just because Peeta wanted them, even though one of her defining characteristics is her determination to not make her parents' mistake in bringing children into an unstable and endlessly harsh reality. And let's face it: just because you overthrow the power-hungry leaders of competing governments doesn't mean there's suddenly peace on Earth, and especially not in District 12. So yeah, I'd change that, somehow.
7. If you could save one of the characters of your favorite television show or movies from dying, who would it be?
GABRIEL, OMG, I WANT HIM BACK SO BADLY. Or, you know, just about any of the supporting characters of Supernatural. But mostly Gabriel.
8. A new technology was recently invented to turn ANY video game into an alternate reality game where you actively participate as a character. What game would you choose to play?
Any FPS would be really cool. I'm picturing L4D2 versus just because it would be hilarious to watch someone with an AR helmet crouching and pouncing on things as a hunter. xD
9. If you could ask one famous figure, living or dead, one question, what would you ask them?
Oh god, Sam, WHY? Um...I'd ask Hitler why he thought it was a good idea to attack Russia in WINTER, of all times. I mean, seriously? And then I'd punch him in the face and stuff him in a closet a la Rory Williams.
10. What song would you choose, if you could only choose one, to play when you walk into any room? The title of the song and the artist.
Something totally badass like Back in Black by AC/DC. Or something ridiculous like The Final Countdown by Europe. xD
