I think in pokemon champions were going to see mega alakazam and meowstic male psy-spam cores. Mega alakazam is 20 base speed higher than mega gengar and gets access to expanding force, along with its sky high special attack stat. Male meowstic gets prankster as its hidden ability and learns the move psychic terrain giving that move +1 priority. This allows you to set up turn 1 to start clicking expanding force. Alakazam gets the ability inner focus preventing fakeout flinches and you can give meowstic a covert cloak to guarantee you get this online turn 1. With indeedee not being in the starting roster for pokemon champions this will be the most reliable way to get psychic terrain up on the field. And I think alakazam will be the premier expanding force user outside of trickroom.
